ABOUT THE ROLE
In this role, you will collaborate closely with Test Automation Engineers from cross-functional teams for the extension and operation of the central in-house Test Automation Framework. The futureproof architecture and expansion of the framework will be a big part of your responsibilities. If you are enthusiastic about enabling quick test execution on all different platforms and have strong experience in this field, we want to hear from you!
RESPONSABILITIES
- Define a futureproof architecture for the in-house test automation framework in regard to maintainability, expandability and performance – including possibilities of AI support
- Close collaboration with Test Automation Engineers from the product teams to discuss required extensions and finding solutions according to their needs
- Thrive for centralized improvements and fixes instead of stand-alone solutions for one customer
- Generate and present innovative approaches and solutions to recurring problems
- Provide support and trainings to onboard new members/projects to the centralized test automation framework
- Maintenance and operation of centralized test harness components
- Actively join or lead discussions/POCs about the framework, test harness and other centralized parts
- Support the product teams with their setup and usage of the framework and its functions
- Operation of the centralized test automation framework and its components (development, GitHub, builds, deployment, monitoring, etc)
- Development and maintenance of team internal tools
- Support and develop further a self-servicing concept for the framework
SKILLS
- Good understanding of development and coding principles
- Strong experience with test automation frameworks and concepts on different platforms (web, mobile, desktop client)
- Exceptional communication and teamwork skills with the ability to articulate ideas clearly and concisely
- High interest in finding and exploring new technical solutions to keep the framework state-of-the-art
- Strong analytic capabilities and problem solving skills
- Hands-on experience in Test Automation field with DevOps tasks (Github, builds, CI/CD, deployments, Kubernetes, … )
- Familiar with essential tools like Jira, Confluence, Jenkins and Git
- Fluent in English
