This is a remote position and the ideal candidate will currently reside in the New York area (Queens, Bronx, NYC, Nassau, Westchester County).
Job DescriptionThis position is a full-time sales position for Stratas Foods, Foodservice in our direct market, Metro NY – no foodservice broker support. The primary role for this position is to provide dedicated direct Sales development in the field calling on foodservice operators and sales training with our strategic distributors on our national branded portfolio (NB). The person reports to our Division Manager. Operator fry testing and product cuttings are the main priority selling in our value-added proposition. This person would also assist in some Regional and National Account field support efforts on large Fry test projects as needed.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
1. Through the Division Managers direction, identify operator targets to call on to sell our NB products with a particular focus on local and regional chain operators.
2. Hands-on responsibility for setting up and monitoring key operator fry tests and product samplings.
3. Must be able to develop goals and objectives that supports a growth plan for the territory.
4. Build and maintain strong relationships with distributors street sales reps with the goals of becoming their Stratas National Brands leader in Oils, dressings and shortening products. Daily focus is on operator sales calls and support and participate in sales meetings, attend food shows and other activities required to grow the business.
5. Lead key Operator sales growth through timely lead follow-up and fry test management; providing product solutions, market intelligence, and technical expertise that adds value for our company and customers.
6. Must be able to perform multiple tasks surrounding the Business, total fry test process management, salad dressings, sauces, mayo cuttings, demonstrations, knowledge in all our Bakery Shortenings
7. Is responsible to learn more effective selling techniques to maximize effectiveness. This includes product knowledge as well as skill enhancements, i.e., professional presentations, organizational skills and be proficient in using our promotional tools. Salesforce and Blacksmith.
8. Support and regionally direct One Foodservice strategy to include funneling of commodity opportunities as well to distributor brands managers to inside sales to achieve overall corporate goals and objectives.
9. Must become proficient in Salesforce.com for efficient opportunity management and Customer relationship management. Other administrative duties include expense reports, contract management and timely email response.
10. Position must follow directives completely as outlined by the Division Manager
11. Travel – ability to travel up to 70% of the time within the assigned territory and of that 15% outside the territory if needed.
QualificationsEducation: Associate or bachelor’s degree in culinary, Food Marketing, General business-related field or equivalent education and experience.
Related Experience: Minimum three (3) years Foodservice experience. Distributor Sales, Broker Sales, Manufacturer sales. Must be able to handle diversity of tasks and manage them effectively.
Equipment/Software Skills: Skilled in Microsoft Office Applications and Customer relationship management tools
Certifications, Licenses, Registrations: Driver’s License
Bilingual - Fluent in English and Spanish Preferred

· Exceptional presentation skills with a proven ability to educate and train others.
· A robust foodservice background with extensive knowledge in food production; previous Sales experience highly regarded.
· Deep understanding of Business dynamics, selling propositions, and the ability to effectively balance cost vs. value across the Branded Portfolio

Pay Range: $75,153.00 – $110,000
Annual Bonus Incentive: 10%
