Job Description:
Essential Job Functions & Accountabilities:
The primary function of this role is to drive revenue growth by developing new and existing customer accounts. Territory Sales Specialist will be responsible for developing and growing a new territory in the local market. The Territory Sales Specialist must also have the ability to forge new relationships while maintaining current relationships within any existing accounts they may receive. In addition, the successful candidate will:
- Aggressively drive revenue growth through superior customer service and product knowledge
- Use personal vehicle to make sales calls to customers and visit customers at their place of business
- Proactively develop new customer contacts and build long-lasting business relationships
- Use a route schedule to work in a specific geographic area for a given day
- Daily call ratio range from 15-20 calls per day on average; time spent with customer, product demonstration, or appointments would all be factors in the number of calls made per day
- Listen to and evaluate customer needs and recommend/develop solutions utilizing a consultative approach
- Provide some minor technical service expertise as needed.
- Use personal computer to enter orders via the Company’s order entry portal
- Achieve or exceed assigned monthly, quarterly, and annual district budgets. Establish, grow, and manage new and existing customer relationships
- Utilize SalesForce.com for call planning and tracking
Level of Formal Education:
- A high school diploma or equivalent (G.E.D.) may include specialized or vocational courses. Bachelor degree preferred.
Years of Experience:
- One to three years sales experience.
Experience in the following markets preferred
- Industrial/Institutional/Transportation
- State/Local Government, Non-Profit Organizations, Municipalities, Schools/Universities
