Provides leadership and directs the activities of business development team within a specific market area delivering investment management and risk (insurance) management. Responsible for achieving team production goals as well as individual production goals as assigned.

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelors Degree or equivalent education and experience
  • Minimum 2-3 years investment and insurance sales experience required

Skills and Abilities:

  • Thorough knowledge of investment and insurance products and applicable securities and insurance rules and regulations.
  • Strong communication and PC skills.
  • Unblemished compliance record.
  • Demonstrated team player and high quality service provider.

Unique Job Characteristics and Requirements:

FINRA Series 6 & 63 or 66 and State Required Life, Accident and Health, Licenses. Series 7 and Series 24 preferred. If not Series 7 licensed, FC will be required to obtain license within 90 days.

Tasks Performed:

  • 35% Provides direction, training and coaching to assure goals are met and overall development of team's skills and book of business continues. Meets regularly with assigned Financial Consultants to discuss sales ideas, referral opportunites, sales efforts, current investment climate, customer insights and results.
  • 20% Interviews and profiles customers/prospects to determine investment and insurance needs, recommend appropriate products, and makes appropriate referral to branch or to other members of regional market team.
  • 15% Develops and executes individual business plan to meet sales goals. Monitors client investment performance and makes appropriate recommendations. Maintains minimum assigned level of production consistent with individual or team goals
  • 15% Sets goals for team members and evaluates individual performance. Participates in recruiting and hiring of new team members and takes leadership role in training and development of new team members.
  • 10% Cultivates and fosters proactive relationships with staff of assigned markets with regular meetings to discuss sales ideas, referral opportunities, results of customer meetings, and promotional campaigns.
  • 5% Other duties as required
