We are seeking an experienced Territory Sales Manager to drive growth within our wholesale fuel division. This role is responsible for acquiring new dealer accounts, managing existing customer relationships, negotiating fuel supply agreements, and increasing fuel volume throughout an assigned territory.We are specifically looking for candidates with direct fuel, petroleum, lubricants, fleet card, commercial fueling, or convenience fuel industry sales experience. The ideal candidate has a proven track record of growing territory sales, negotiating contracts, and building long-term customer partnerships.
Compensation: $70,000 - $80,000 Base Salary + Commission
Travel: Hybrid work environment with up to 75% travel. Typically, this includes three days per week traveling within the territory and two days per week in the office.
ResponsibilitiesKey Responsibilities:
- Minimum 2 years of direct fuel, petroleum, lubricants, fleet card, commercial fueling, or convenience fuel sales experience.
- Demonstrated experience negotiating, drafting, reviewing, and managing fuel supply agreements and petroleum sales contracts or similar, including ownership of contract terms through execution and ongoing account management.
- Proven success in new business development and territory growth.
- Strong understanding of pricing, margins, profitability, and sales analysis.
- Strong communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
- Minimum 2 years of direct fuel, petroleum, lubricants, fleet card, commercial fueling, or convenience fuel sales experience.
- Demonstrated experience negotiating, drafting, reviewing, and managing fuel supply agreements and petroleum sales contracts or similar, including ownership of contract terms through execution and ongoing account management.
- Proven success in new business development and territory growth.
- Strong understanding of pricing, margins, profitability, and sales analysis.
- Strong communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
- Valid driver's license, reliable transportation, proof of auto insurance, and willingness to travel.
- Knowledge of branded and unbranded fuel programs.
- Experience selling wholesale fuel, petroleum products, lubricants, or fleet card solutions.
- Knowledge of fuel transportation, freight, and pricing structures.
- Understanding of dealer fuel agreements and contract management.
- Familiarity with PMPA.
Candidates should have direct experience in wholesale fuel sales, petroleum sales, commercial fuel sales, fleet fueling programs, fleet card sales, or lubricants sales, including negotiating, drafting, and executing fuel supply agreements and petroleum sales contracts.
Candidates without direct fuel industry sales experience or similar, and hands-on experience preparing fuel supply agreements or petroleum sales contracts may not be considered for this role.
