As a Territory Sales Manager, you will be responsible for developing profitable new business within the Automotive Refinish Collision segment for PPG. you will play a critical role in driving sales, building strong customer relationships, and promoting PPG's Automotive Refinish products and solutions.

You will report to the Regional Manager and manage an assigned customer base, identifying new business opportunities, and achieving sales targets to contribute to the overall success of PPG's Automotive Refinish business.

Key Responsibilities

  • Actively promote and sell PPG's Automotive Refinish products and solutions to existing and potential customers within the territory.

  • Develop and implement effective sales strategies and business plans to achieve and exceed sales targets.

  • Monitor market trends, competitors, and industry developments related to the Automotive Collision Industry and Automotive Refinish products. Use this knowledge to identify new business opportunities, product gaps, and potential areas of growth within the territory.

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key customer segments including Collision Centers, Fleet & Light Industrial Coating (LIC) accounts and Distribution channels. Understand their needs and provide exceptional customer service while addressing any concerns or issues promptly.

  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of sales activities, customer interactions, and progress towards sales targets. Prepare regular sales reports and analyze data to identify areas for improvement and effective business strategies.

  • Develop an understanding of PPG's Automotive Refinish product portfolio and be able to provide technical support and guidance to customers. Conduct product demonstrations, trainings, and workshops to showcase the benefits and proper application of PPG products.

  • Collaboration with marketing, product management, and customer support to align strategies, leverage resources, and enhance the overall customer experience.

  • Through PPG's Fixed and Variable Rate (FAVR) program, you'll have the flexibility to drive your own vehicle while receiving tax-advantaged reimbursement for fuel, insurance, and other eligible business-related vehicle expenses. The program is designed to provide a convenient, cost-effective alternative to a company vehicle while giving you greater choice and flexibility.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma is required.

  • Previous collision, automotive or coatings experience is preferred

  • Must possess a valid driver's license, maintain automobile insurance, have access to a personal vehicle that meets PPG's Fixed and Variable Rate (FAVR) program requirements, and successfully pass a motor vehicle record (MVR) review.

Base salary range is between $75k and $95k/year.
