How will you make an impact?
As a Sales Operations TAQ and Compensation Analyst, you will be tasked with revenue data mapping (account and product) from various Thermo Fisher revenue streams. This is a critical process that is performed daily to accurately credit Commissionable Revenue and in turn compensate sales reps accurately and efficiently. In addition, you will be responsible for the year-end territory alignment and quota setting process. Occasional work on larger mid-year restructures will also be in scope.
You will report to the Sr. Manager, Sales Operations and be a key member of the larger Sales Operations Compensation Team within the Life Sciences Group (LSG) for North America. You will have the opportunity to partner with other teams within Thermo Fisher, specifically the LSG IT, Finance and Sales organizations.
Sales Compensation Analyst
Responsibilities:
Assist in product and account mapping from third party data to business unit specific assignment by creating mapping tables which link one data source to another for sales compensation purposes, continuously working to automate manual processes.
Successfully communicate with, engage, and influence internal and external team members.
Act as intermediary between sales compensation team and internal distribution partners. Troubleshoot B2B misalignments, unmapped data, new account assignments, etc.
Large presence in annual year-end data mapping project. Includes implementing upcoming year’s configuration changes to historical data so that baseline and prior year data are clean for quota building and year over year reporting purposes.
Critical team member for monthly commission revenue assignment and payments. Partner with assigned commercial team to be their single point of contact. Ability to explain financial data and reporting insights across functions is critical.
Identify obstacles and challenges while providing input on their resolution in a timely manner. Driving automation, standardization and consistency are key functions.
Perform manual adjustments and revenue reconciliation as required by the Americas Compensation Team.
Territory Alignment & Quota Analyst
Responsibilities:
Through data analysis, determine product bag by position type; build and align sales territories and set and manage quotas for LSG in North America.
Manage all necessary workflows to address existing requirements, manage timelines, and effectively communicate across all teams, finding opportunities for improvements.
Assist the Americas Compensation Team with manual mapping of account/product revenue to the selling teams.
Create connections from different data streams, so that all product and account mapping data is cleanly assigned to the current reps and teams through system automation and good database hygiene practices.
Skills:
Strong Excel and data management skills required.
Must be exceptionally detail oriented and have strong communication skills
CRM & Salesforce experience preferred.
Strong knowledge of Corporate Operations, Research and Product offerings, Finance, Compensation, Commercial Sales Alignment, IT/CRM processes, etc.
Strong communication skills with the ability to influence and interact both individually and as part of a team with internal and external partners.
Resourceful in researching problems and finding answers, sharing information and giving regular updates to key stakeholders.
Able to work independently, multi-task, and maintain focus on monthly deliverables with strict deadlines.
Maintain professional composure in a dynamic and matrixed work environment.
Education:
Bachelor’s degree, preferably in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or related field required.
3-5 years of sales operations, commercial finance or FP&A experience required.
Compensation and Benefits
The salary range estimated for this position based in California is $83,300.00–$111,100.00.This position may also be eligible to receive a variable annual bonus based on company, team, and/or individual performance results in accordance with company policy. Skills Required
