The Opportunity

We are seeking a high-energy, self-motivated Territory Manager to take ownership of our Greenville, NC market and surrounding areas. In this role, you’ll be the local face of GFL—building strong relationships with businesses, uncovering new revenue opportunities, and delivering custom waste management solutions that keep Pitt County and eastern NC moving forward.

Whether you’re out in the field meeting business owners, analyzing local commercial needs, or closing key accounts, every day brings fresh challenges and exciting opportunities to win.

What You’ll Do (Key Responsibilities)
  • Own the Greenville Market: Proactively prospect and secure new commercial and industrial accounts through targeted cold calls, field visits, and community networking.
  • Be the Trusted Solution Provider: Conduct waste stream analyses and meet with local business leaders to assess their needs, recommending tailored service packages, equipment, and diversion/recycling strategies.
  • Close Deals & Grow Revenue: Prepare price quotes, deliver compelling sales presentations, and negotiate contracts that align with GFL’s service standards and margin goals.
  • Nurture Key Partnerships: Build long-term relationships with existing clients to ensure top-tier customer satisfaction, drive account retention, and uncover expansion opportunities.
  • Know the Local Landscape: Track competitor activity, stay plugged into regional growth trends, and develop smart strategies to increase GFL’s market share across eastern NC.
  • Represent GFL in the Community: Attend local business networking events, trade shows, and civic functions to elevate GFL's brand presence.

What We’re Looking For
  • Experience: 2–3 years of successful B2B sales experience (experience in waste management, route logistics, or industrial services is a strong bonus!).
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree or an equivalent combination of education and hands-on B2B sales experience.
  • Sales Drive: Proven track record of prospecting, negotiating, and closing deals independently.
  • Communication Skills: Ability to build instant rapport with everyone—from job site managers on the shop floor to C-suite executives.
  • Problem-Solving Ability: Strong analytical skills to calculate service margins, pricing structures, and equipment requirements for custom client solutions.
  • On-the-Go Mindset: Valid driver’s license and a love for being out in the territory rather than sitting behind a desk all day.

Why Join GFL in Greenville?
  • Competitive Compensation: Base salary plus lucrative commission and bonus structures.
  • Comprehensive Benefits: Health, dental, vision, life insurance, and 401(k) matching.
  • Tools for Success: Company vehicle program/allowance, phone, and tech package.
  • Career Growth: Clear pathways for advancement within a rapidly expanding company across North America.
  • Great Culture: A supportive, energetic team environment where your achievements are recognized and rewarded.
