*This position is a 100% remote U.S. based opportunity. You will be responsible for managing a territory in Northern California.

Travel for day-to-day work, conferences, trade shows, team meetings, and training will be required.

About the Position:

Our sales team is growing! We have a new opportunity for a Territory Sales Manager, based in Northern California for our E&S Commercial and Flood products. This is an exciting, fast-paced position for someone who understands how to grow existing agent relationships and cultivate new through cold calling, cold emailing, and industry events. We’re looking for someone with a rolodex of property and small commercial agents in California.

Key Responsibilities: (What you'll be asked to do)

  • Manage and grow an assigned agent base across Northern California by acting as a trusted advisor, understanding agents’ business needs, identifying opportunities for growth, and determining how Swyfft can best support their success.
  • Manage assigned agent relationships through in-person visits, virtual meetings, and calls to develop growth strategies and discuss production expectations.
  • Act as a resource for our agents by answering inquiries or questions about Swyfft products and services.
  • Assist with the facilitation of agent training and education webinars.
  • Promote the Swyfft brand and cultivate relationships at conferences, events, and trade shows.
  • Stay up to date on emerging industry trends, competitor activity, and market conditions to inform sales strategies.
  • Track all agent activity, including contacts, communications, revenue potential, and updates in our HubSpot CRM system.

  • You’re an experienced relationship builder who can overcome any objection that comes your way.
  • Both internal (your peers) and external clients commend your excellent communication and follow-up skills.
  • You're self-motivated, show initiative, and understand what it means to get the job done.
  • Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to multitask.
  • Ability to work independently or in a team-oriented environment.

Some Requirements:

  • 7+ years of sales and account management experience (in an MGA, carrier, or agency environment preferred).
  • You have existing agency relationships in your assigned territory.

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience is preferred.

Computer Skills:

  • We’re an MS Office environment.
  • Experience using video and chat technology (MSTeams & Slack)

Other:

  • Reliable high-speed internet connectivity required.
  • Designated quiet work from home space.

Compensation for this position will vary based on skills, qualifications, and experience. Base compensation does not include bonuses or other incentives that the company may choose to pay at its sole discretion.
