Scope

The Territory Growth Manager is responsible for driving revenue growth, market expansion, and strategic client engagement across a defined territory.

This role focuses on securing new business, growing key accounts, and positioning Braemac Engineering’s engineering and technology solutions within rail infrastructure and rolling stock markets.

The successful candidate will combine strong industry knowledge with commercial acumen to translate technical capability into measurable business outcomes.

Accountabilities

Business Development & Account Growth

  • Develop and execute a territory growth strategy aligned with company objectives
  • Identify, pursue, and secure new business opportunities across rail markets
  • Build, manage, and expand strategic relationships with rail operators, OEMs, contractors, and government stakeholders
  • Achieve revenue, margin, and pipeline targets

Client Engagement & Delivery Alignment

  • Act as the primary commercial interface for key accounts
  • Understand client operational needs and position tailored engineering solutions
  • Work closely with internal engineering and delivery teams to ensure successful project outcomes
  • Drive customer satisfaction, retention, and repeat business

Market Intelligence & Strategic Input

  • Monitor market trends, funding programs, and emerging technologies
  • Assess competitor positioning and identify differentiation opportunities
  • Provide market insights to support business strategy and solution development

Collaboration & Reporting

  • Collaborate cross-functionally to develop proposals and technical solutions
  • Maintain accurate pipeline, forecasting, and CRM data
  • Represent the business at industry events, trade shows, and client forums
  • Provide regular reporting on performance, risks, and growth opportunities

Education & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Civil) or Business
  • Alternatively, a relevant trade or technical qualification with industry experience
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in business development, sales, or account management within rail or transport engineering
  • Demonstrated success in selling technical or engineering-based solutions
  • Established network across rail operators, infrastructure managers, or OEMs (desirable)

Skills & Certifications

  • Strong understanding of the rail industry’s commercial and technical landscape
  • Ability to translate customer needs into practical engineering solutions
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills
  • Proven capability managing complex, multi-stakeholder sales cycles
  • Strategic thinking with strong commercial and analytical capability
  • Proficiency in CRM systems and Microsoft Office
  • Self-driven, results-oriented, and capable of operating independently

Travel Requirements

  • Regular interstate travel across Australia
  • Occasional international travel for supplier engagement and industry events
