Major Purpose
The Territory Sales Manager's top priority is to drive sales of John Deere earthmoving equipment and attachments directly to customers and in support of dealers. Success requires weekly customer calls, active participation in deals and driving sales execution with dealers in the assigned territory.
In addition, depending on the complexity of the territory, the TSM may be working with an exceptional/difficult distribution network due to one or more of the following conditions:
(1) number of dealers/customers/channel partners.
(2) selling directly to customers.
(3) lack of Strategic Business Unit (SBU) support in the areas of parts, service, or dealer development leading to independent decision making.
(4) facing emerging markets with political instability.
(5) multi-cultural or diverse business.
(6) scope and scale of business opportunity, and
(7) breadth of product lines for which the Territory Manager has responsibility in the market.
Ability to travel extensively within territory. 50-75%.
Position eventually will be in Mexico City

Major responsibilities

  • Ensure accountability of sales activities, manage and coordinate product consultant activities and dealer sales training.
  • Develop and support dealers in forecasting, sales/rental/usage strategy planning and sales techniques, and support the introduction of new products.
  • Own the relationship with key accounts in the assigned territory.
  • Actively participate with customers to quote business and drive sales of whole goods and attachments.
  • Drive effective execution of incentive utilization in assigned territory
  • Communicate gaps in dealer participation and relationships with key customers and work to close the gaps and sell more machines to generate optimal order activity for Deere.
  • Arrange and conduct strong product and application training programs for dealers and self.
  • Coordinate optimal coverage of product consultants and sales training resources to drive deals and sales

What makes you standout

  • Marketing Executive or similar - understanding of the
  • Microsoft Power BI advanced knowledge is a plus.
  • Background in Commercial roles involving dealer and/or customer facing interactions are preferred.
  • Basic Portuguese.


Education
Bachelor or superior - Administration, Engineering preferable.
