As a level 2 Terminal support, you are responsible for all the Terminal related issues and processing of technical inquiries regarding our Point-of-Sale systems. Proactive identification of hardware of software issues in terminals, resolving them or escalating with the vendor teams for restoration of services.
WHAT WILL YOU DO?
- Installing and maintaining Point of Sale systems, software and interfaces
- Liaising with suppliers and coordinating activities with support partners and vendors.
- Creating operating manuals, checklists, and training manuals / materials
- Championing daily operational coordination between customers, internal IT and specialist departments (including operational emergencies).
- Solving hardware, software, network, and communication problems in POS systems and related applications
- Organizing mass rollouts of terminal software, administration, creating and updating tickets
- Proactive monitoring of terminal health and issues and raising them with the vendors and merchants as required.
- TMS (Terminal Management System) ownership and support.
- At least 2 years exp working with or supporting OEM and or bespoke software/hardware within the payments industry.
- Experience in application support, release and incident management.
- Solid experience with troubleshooting POS hardware & terminal software, network and communication problems (incl. TCP/IP and GPS)
- Great communication skills.
- Experience working in multi-vendor teams, raising issues and pushing for timely resolution of issues.
- Verifone and MX51 experience is desired.
- Ideally Microsoft Network certification, and or CompTIA certs such as A+, Network+, Cloud+
