The Terminal Manager is responsible for the delivery of safe reliable and optimal performance of the Marine Terminal and for meeting the safety and operational performance targets of the Marine Segment.
Location: Falmouth Marine Terminal
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Manage the Marine Terminal to deliver safe, reliable and legally compliant performance.
- Manage Terminal Operations staff.
- Manage and monitor Marine Terminal GPO budgets.
- Work closely with Marine Commercial and other business partners to deliver the commercial strategy. Ensure that the terminal remains available and in condition to deliver the commercial strategy.
- Put in place plans to ensure future good performance and continuous improvement.
- Manage the Marine Terminal to ensure safe operation.
- Compliance with legal and WFS standards.
- Compliance with the regulatory requirements is a key function and is essential for WFS to maintain its “licence to operate”. The development and coordination of plans to meet and exceed regulatory requirements are crucial to Marine Segment operations.
- Operational availability. The site must be available to deliver the Marine Segment commercial business requirements.
- Opex and Capex budgets are managed and tracked.
- Emergency preparedness and response plans are in place and effective
Experience
- Work experience in oil terminal operations management and leadership is essential. Alternatively, managing and leading fuel storage and delivery in a fuel distribution environment are required.
- Experience in overseeing maintenance and inspection of fuel storage and delivery systems and processes is essential.
- Strong oral and written communication skills are essential.
- Strong team leadership experience and skills are essential.
- Strong stakeholder management skills are essential.
- Strong negotiation skills are essential.
- Strong knowledge and passion for UK HSE legislation are essential to driving optimal adherence across fuel storage sites.
- Experience of implementing HSE processes and fostering an optimal HSE culture across physical operation sites is essential.
- Budget management experience is essential.
- Strong analytical ability and numerical skills are essential.
- Experience of using MS Office suite is important.
- Willingness to manage and lead a physical operation across shift patterns.
- Mechanical Engineering skills and experience is desirable.
- Professional qualification in the HSE or fuels quality assurance field is desirable.

- Must be comfortable working at heights in excess of 16 meters (Tank tops).
- Strong Team Player but works equally well self-motivated.
Desirable
- Experienced in ship to shore operations (COG: chemical Oil & Gas).
- Understanding of basic engineering principles.
