The Opportunity
At Hitachi Energy, we advance a sustainable energy future for all. We are now looking for a Tendering Team Manager to strengthen our Substation Automation business across Benelux and Germany. In this role, you will lead a skilled international tendering team and ensure high-quality, competitive, and customer-focused bids are delivered on time.
You will play a key part in driving the regional tendering strategy, improving processes, and supporting business growth. This position offers the opportunity to lead a cross-country team, collaborate closely with sales and engineering, and directly influence our success in a dynamic and rapidly evolving market.
How You’ll Make an Impact
Lead, coach, and develop an international team of tendering engineers across multiple countries.
Drive the preparation of high-quality, competitive tenders aligned with customer requirements and business objectives.
Oversee technical, commercial, contractual, operational, and financial elements of all bids.
Ensure accurate cost estimations and clear risk assessments for all proposals.
Foster strong collaboration with sales, operations, and other internal stakeholders.
Improve tendering workflows, tools, and processes to enhance quality and efficiency.
Represent and promote Hitachi Energy’s values of safety, integrity, and customer-centric delivery.
Manage and execute your own tenders when required to support workload balance and team effectiveness.
Your Background
Proven leadership experience managing teams in an international and multicultural environment.
Strong track record in tendering, sales, engineering, or project management within Substation Automation or related domains (SCADA, RTUs, Protection & Control, IEDs).
Solid understanding of bid preparation processes and ability to identify improvements.
Comfortable working under pressure with strict deadlines and multiple priorities.
University degree in Electrical Engineering or another relevant technical field.
Fluent in English and at least one regional language (Dutch, French, or German).
Willingness to travel internationally when required.
