Job DescriptionThe Keough School of Global Affairs seeks a temporary Multimedia Specialist to support the school’s communications team through photography and video production. This position will help advance the school’s storytelling efforts by creating engaging visual content that highlights the people, research, programs and impact of the Keough School and its institutes and center.
Working closely with the Director of Communications and Marketing and the communications team, the Multimedia Specialist will produce photo and video content for a variety of communications channels, including web, social media, events, publications and other institutional needs. The ideal candidate will have strong skills in videography, photography and editing, with the ability to independently plan, capture and deliver high-quality multimedia assets on deadline.
Responsibilities will include: filming and editing interviews, events and b-roll; photographing faculty, students, staff and school activities; assisting with story development and visual concepts; preparing content for digital platforms; and maintaining organized multimedia files and assets. The successful candidate will be collaborative, flexible and comfortable working in a fast-paced academic environment with multiple projects and priorities.
This is a temporary position intended to provide multimedia production support and maintain continuity of the Keough School’s visual storytelling efforts.
Qualifications
3-4 years of experience, including:
- Experience using video and photo equipment to produce projects from conception to delivery.
- Demonstrated proficiency in Adobe programs including Photoshop, Premiere,Lightroom, and After Effects or similar programs .
- Ability to expertly operate mid- to high-level cameras, video cameras, microphones, and lighting.
- Ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously with careful attention to detail.
- Strong accountability and ability to work efficiently to meet deadlines.
- Professional demeanor and ability to interact with faculty, staff, and visitors in a variety of disciplines.
