As a Temporary Educational Supervisor at Aaron School, you will play a key leadership role in supporting high-quality instruction and student success across Grades 8–12. Working closely with the administrative team, faculty, students, and families, you will oversee instructional practices, support teacher development, and help ensure that students with special needs receive effective, individualized academic and behavioral support.

What You'll Need

  • Master’s degree in Education, Special Education, or a closely related field

  • Current New York State certification in Special Education

  • Strong knowledge of research-based teaching strategies, interventions, and best practices for students with special needs

  • Experience supervising, coaching, or mentoring teachers and providing constructive, actionable feedback

  • Strong understanding of curriculum development, differentiated instruction, assessment, classroom management, and student progress monitoring

  • Excellent communication, collaboration, problem-solving, and organizational skills

  • Ability to work effectively with faculty, school leadership, students, and families.

What You'll Do

  • Partner with the administrative team to support high-quality programming and instruction for students with special needs

  • Supervise, coach, and evaluate teachers, providing actionable feedback and supporting ongoing professional development

  • Oversee instructional practices, including lesson planning, differentiation, assessment, classroom management, and student engagement

  • Monitor student progress and collaborate with faculty, students, and families to develop academic, behavioral, and social-emotional support plans

  • Support curriculum development and ensure instruction reflects current research and best practices in special education

  • Participate in student admissions, transitions, orientations, and other school-wide programs and initiatives

  • Monitor student attendance and behavior, support DOE impartial hearing processes as needed, and complete additional responsibilities assigned by school leadership
