Interim Assistant Hospital Manager (3–6 Month Assignment)
Salary: $80,000 – $100,000 annually (pro-rated), exempt

We are seeking a results-driven Interim Assistant Hospital Manager to lead operations in a high-volume emergency and specialty hospital during a 3–6 month assignment. This role is ideal for a strong, hands-on leader who can quickly assess operations, stabilize teams, and drive efficiency in a fast-paced, 24/7 environment.
What You’ll Do
- Provide day-to-day operational leadership to ensure continuity of care and efficient workflows
- Lead, coach, and support clinical and support department teams and leads
- Optimize staffing and scheduling to maintain appropriate coverage
- Identify gaps and implement process improvements for better patient care and team performance
- Oversee and standardize training and SOPs across departments
- Partner with leadership to drive alignment, communication, and accountability
- Ensure compliance, safety, and quality standards are consistently met
What We’re Looking For
- 2+ years of leadership experience in a veterinary or clinical setting
- Proven ability to support hospital operations and lead teams under the leadership of the Hospital Director.
- Strong background in process improvement and change management
- Ability to step in quickly, assess needs, and deliver results
- Excellent communication, organization, and problem-solving skills
- Comfortable in a fast-paced, 24/7 environment
- CA VACSP (or ability to obtain within 60 days) or active CA-RVT license
Preferred
- Emergency/specialty veterinary experience
- Interim or transitional leadership experience
- Familiarity with scheduling/workforce management tools
