Job Summary
This position is an entry-level, administrative/clerical role supporting U.S. trade and customs compliance activities. The role is primarily focused on data entry, document auditing, record retention, and electronic filing to support import/export compliance processes. The Trade Compliance Coordinator works under the direction of Senior Analysts or Management, following established procedures and compliance handbooks.Job Description
Duration of Assignment: 5-7 months
Hours: In Office Only Monday - Thursday 8am to 3pm
Key Skills & Qualifications:
- Strong and accurate data entry skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel (basic data review, logs, trackers)
- Proficient in SharePoint for document management
- Ability to audit trade documentation for completeness and accuracy
- Ability to perform electronic filing and record retention
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to follow written procedures and compliance guidelines
Key Roles & Responsibilities:
- Enter product, classification, and supporting data into the trade compliance system (e.g., Amber Road) using compliance manuals and instructions provided by Senior Analysts or Management.
- Perform administrative support activities related to U.S. import and export compliance, including data entry and document processing.
- Review and audit trade documentation to ensure required records are complete and properly filed in accordance with compliance procedures.
- Prepare and forward documentation packets to third-party service providers (e.g., Duty Drawback teams or customs brokers) as instructed.
- Maintain electronic logs, trackers, and audit files; ensure timely uploading and indexing of documentation within SharePoint or designated electronic folders.
- Support collaboration with customs brokers, freight forwarders, and internal teams by retrieving or organizing documentation when requested.
- Assist with periodic internal compliance audits by compiling data and supporting records.
