Teleport Engineer - Level 4

• Senior RF Engineer with 10+ years' experience in managing satellite ground stations and associated equipment
• Theoretical and practical knowledge of earth stations operation, RF equipment, electrical equipment like UPS units, generators, etc.
• Ability to plan, design, and implement telecommunication systems
• Capable of designing, building, configuring and commissioning devices, networks, and systems, and ensuring systems interconnect with equipment from different manufacturers, service providers, and users.
• Oversee the installation of telecommunications equipment and facilities.
• Capable of analysing the needs of the organization and translate the requirements into detailed technical specifications.
• Monitor and test systems and peripheral equipment, identify and diagnose faults, and troubleshoot problems. Evaluate system performance levels and improve capabilities as needed.
• Assess performance levels of system hardware and software to project future needs and develop short and long-terms plans for updating equipment, adding capabilities, enhancing existing systems, and providing improved telecommunications.
• Ensure compliance with laws, regulations and company's policies and OHS procedures.
• Maintain highest levels of telecommunication security and protection.
• Collaborate with various internal groups and external vendors to ensure all installations meet specifications, ensuring the resolution of problems as they arise
• Must have an Engineering degree - Electrical, Telecommunication or IT
• Ability to Lead Technical Change
• Ability to lead and mentor a small team
• Strong written and verbal communication
• Strong 3rd party vendor engagement
• Ability to conduct complex, important work under minimal supervision
