Key Responsibilities
- Maintain constant surveillance of telemetry monitors to ensure patient safety.
- Promptly notify the Registered Nurse of any changes in a patient’s heart rhythm.
- Document heart rhythms hourly and as changes occur.
- Generate telemetry strips for nursing staff in accordance with policy and procedure.
- Alert nursing staff immediately if telemetry signal is interrupted.
- Conduct daily inventory to ensure adequate supply of transmitters and lead wires.
- Handle confidential medical information with discretion and professionalism.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent required.
- Must successfully complete telemetry on-the-job training and education. Competency must be achieved within 6–12 weeks of hire and be maintained thereafter.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Excellent organizational skills and ability to prioritize tasks.
- Attention to detail and ability to work in a fast-paced environment
Pay Range
