Fundraising keeps opera alive at the Metropolitan Opera! We are seeking phone representatives to help us reach our goals by raising funds from our loyal constituents. This is a great opportunity to work for the largest performing arts organization and gain experience working at one of the finest opera companies in the world. We offer a flexible schedule and hybrideligibility upon the completion of all necessary in-person training. Must be able to work 17.5 hours a week including at least two Saturday morning shifts per month.
In depth knowledge and/or serious appreciation of the performing arts required. Some knowledge of opera preferred, but not required.
Primary Responsibilities
- Conduct outbound calls to our donors and ticket holders to raise funds and sell tickets packages for the Met.
- Record information from these calls into the Met’s database.
Skills and Qualifications
- Proficient in persuasion and verbal communication skills
- Sales /fundraisingexperience institutional and/or non-profit organizations preferred
- Computer proficiency. Teams, Outlook, and experience using call management software are a plus!
- Database/Tessitura experience preferred but not required
- Ability to practice patience while working under pressure
- Attention to detail
- Collaborates well in a team and goal-oriented environment
- Must have ability to work remotely with high-speed internet connection
