Job Description

We are seeking an experienced and strategic Telecoms Business Development Manager to join our organisation in Dublin, Ireland. In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for identifying, developing, and securing new business opportunities within the telecommunications sector. The successful candidate will drive revenue growth, build lasting client relationships, and contribute to the strategic expansion of our market presence across Ireland and beyond.

  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities within the telecommunications market, conducting thorough market analysis and competitive research
  • Develop and implement comprehensive business development strategies to achieve revenue targets and organisational growth objectives
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients, partners, and stakeholders, ensuring long-term engagement and satisfaction
  • Lead negotiations and manage contract discussions, ensuring favourable terms and successful deal closure
  • Prepare compelling business proposals, presentations, and tender documents tailored to client requirements
  • Collaborate with internal teams including technical, operations, and sales departments to deliver integrated solutions
  • Monitor industry trends, market dynamics, and competitor activities to identify emerging opportunities
  • Track and report on key performance indicators (KPIs), sales pipelines, and business development metrics
  • Represent the organisation at industry events, conferences, and networking forums to enhance brand visibility
  • Manage customer relationships throughout the sales cycle and beyond, ensuring successful project delivery.

Qualifications

**Required Skills & Experience:**

  • Minimum 5 years' proven business development experience, preferably within the telecommunications industry.
  • Demonstrated track record of successfully identifying and closing new business opportunities
  • Strong negotiation and sales skills with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, both written and verbal
  • Strategic thinking and business planning capability
  • Proficiency with Customer Relationship Management (CRM) software and Microsoft Office suite
  • In-depth knowledge of telecommunications products, services, and industry landscape
  • Strong people skills and ability to build collaborative relationships across teams
  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously

**Desirable Skills & Experience:**

  • Experience operating within the Irish or European telecommunications market
  • Familiarity with enterprise-level client management and complex sales cycles
  • Project management experience or relevant certification
  • Knowledge of telecommunications industry certifications or standards
  • Experience with telecommunications infrastructure, connectivity solutions, or network services
  • Background in account management or key account development
