What this role is all about?
The Telecom Account Manager is the core operational role in Infobip’s Telecom Account Management function. This role ensures the smooth, day-to-day management of telecom operator relationships - owning the end-to-end operational lifecycle from service setup and sender registration through invoicing, dispute resolution, and performance monitoring. The Telecom Account Manager collaborates directly with OP and Cross Functional Teams to maintain service continuity, resolve issues proactively, and enable commercial expansion across Infobip’s portfolio.
What will you be doing at Infobip?- Develop and maintain strong, trusted relationships with key telecoms.
- Participate in commercial negotiations, including pricing discussions and contract renewals, ensuring mutually beneficial agreements.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with teams across various pillars to coordinate service delivery and meet telecom expectations.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for all telecom account matters, managing communications, escalations, and service updates.
- Prepare and present Quarterly Business Reviews, showcasing value delivered and identifying growth opportunities.
- Analyze usage and performance data to propose optimization strategies and support business development.
- Proactively identify risks and escalation points, ensuring timely resolution and telecom satisfaction.
- Manage billing inquiries and disputes, coordinating internally to address and resolve issues efficiently.
- Facilitate onboarding and rollout of new services, ensuring smooth commercial and operational handover.
- Monitor industry trends and market pricing in coordination with Business Analysts.
- Support internal teams, including sales, marketing, and technical support.
- Fluent in English, with additional language skills considered a strong advantage, particularly Spanish or German.
- Bachelor or Masters degree in Business, Management or related fields.
- Proven experience in account management, sales, or a commercial role within the telecom or technology sector.
- Strong negotiation and relationship management skills with a commercial mindset.
- Proficient in MS Office, with strong skills in Excel for data analysis and reporting.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities, both written and verbal.
- Analytical thinker with the ability to interpret data to inform business decisions.
- Self-motivated and able to work independently, while collaborating effectively across teams.
