Job Summary
As TechQA Manager at SCBTechX, you'll lead a specialized team focused on revolutionizing quality assurance through innovative tooling and AI solutions. You'll spearhead the development of next-generation QA products, from performance testing frameworks to AI-augmented testing tools, with potential for commercialization. This role combines technical leadership with product vision, driving the transformation of internal QA tools into market-ready solutions while building a center of excellence for performance testing and automation across the organization.
Job Responsibilities:
- Drive development of commercial-grade QA tools and frameworks, leading modernization from legacy systems to modern tech stack including AI integration
- Oversee product development roadmap for QA tools with potential commercialization, focusing on innovation and market viability
- Spearhead AI-powered QA initiatives for test case generation, data creation, and automated testing frameworks
- Collaborate with project teams to identify automation opportunities and tool requirements
- Establish technical standards and architecture decisions for QA tooling and infrastructure
- Drive continuous improvement in development practices, code quality, and technical capabilities
- Guide performance testing team in delivering enterprise-level services while building reusable frameworks
- Guide team objectives through OKR framework, aligning product development with organizational goals
- Foster technical excellence through mentoring and skill development, particularly in modern development practices
- Lead resource planning and capacity management across performance testing and tool development initiatives
- Build and maintain high-performing teams through coaching, performance reviews, career development planning, and effective talent management
Background/ Experiences
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field
- Proven track record of managing teams of 6 – 10 members, with at least 1-2 years of leadership experience
- Strong background in test automation with 3+ years of hands-on experience in developing and maintaining automated test frameworks
- Demonstrated experience in building and leading high-performance teams, with measurable achievements in team development
- Deep understanding of agile methodologies and SDLC processes, with proven experience implementing quality practices within these frameworks
- Strong software development background with 5+ years experience in Java, JavaScript, or GolangProven experience with modern web frameworks (React, Next.js) and both SQL/NoSQL databases
- Experience leading technical teams and delivering commercial-grade software products
Preferred Qualifications+:
- Deep understanding of QA principles and testing methodologies
- Track record of implementing AI/ML solutions in practical applications
Knowledge & Skills
- Programming Languages: Strong proficiency in Java/JavaScript/Golang with system design capabilities
- Software Architecture: Advanced expertise in design patterns, microservices architecture, and scalable systems
- Full-stack Development: Modern frontend (React/Next.js), backend services, and database optimization (SQL/NoSQL)
- Fundamental Software Testing
Preferred Knowledge+:
- Fundamental AI/ML Or Practical experience implementing AI solutions.
- DevOps: CI/CD implementation, cloud platforms, containerization
- Performance testing methodology and tooling + Monitoring systems implementation
- Test automation architecture and frameworks (Selenium/Playwright/Cypress)
