About This Role:
We’re looking for a full-time TechOps NOC Engineer to join our TechOps team reporting to the Senior Director of TechOps. This role is a hybrid role based out of our Hyderabad location.
In this role, you’ll play a key role in ensuring the reliability and stability of Gainsight’s production cloud infrastructure by continuously monitoring systems, responding to alerts, and performing first-level troubleshooting to detect and remediate issues early. This is a great opportunity for someone who thrives in a 24/7, operations-focused environment and enjoys working cross-functionally with teams like TechOps, Engineering, and other next-tier support teams. The ideal candidate brings strong skills in Linux system administration, infrastructure and application monitoring, and analytical troubleshooting across cloud-based environments.
What You'll Do:
Monitor Gainsight’s production cloud infrastructure using industry-standard monitoring and alerting tools.
Perform Level 1 (L1) troubleshooting and remedial actions for infrastructure, system, and application alerts.
Analyze, correlate, and interpret alerts from multiple monitoring sources to identify incidents and potential issues.
Assess alert severity, prioritize incidents appropriately, and respond or escalate according to defined NOC procedures.
Support Linux-based systems and assist with basic troubleshooting of Kubernetes (K8s) and cloud-related issues.
Communicate effectively with internal stakeholders and escalate to next-tier (L2/L3) teams when required.
Participate in 24/7/365 rotational shift operations, ensuring continuous monitoring and operational coverage.
This is not a complete list of responsibilities, and the scope of the role may evolve with the needs of the team and business. This role will require occasional travel for team meetings, training, or company events.
What We're Looking For:
1.5 to 2 years of relevant experience supporting production environments
Technical degree or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience
Working knowledge of Linux system administration and open-source environments
Exposure to AWS or other cloud platforms
Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret alerts from multiple monitoring tools
Willingness to work in a 24/7/365 rotational shift environment
Good verbal and written English communication skills with strong attention to detail
Nice-to-have Skills:
RHCE certification or equivalent Linux certification
AWS or other cloud certifications
Experience or exposure to Kubernetes (K8s) management and support
Familiarity with monitoring and logging tools such as Nagios, Datadog, Sumo Logic, Grafana, Kibana, etc.
Basic SQL knowledge and exposure to database environments
