As a Technology Support III at JPMorganChase within the Commercial & Investment Bank, you will ensure the operational stability, availability, and performance of our production application flows. Encourage a culture of continuous improvement as you troubleshoot, maintain, identify, escalate, and resolve production service interruptions for all internally and externally developed systems, leading to a seamless user experience.
Job responsibilities:
Delivers end-to-end application and infrastructure services, supporting day-to-day maintenance of critical systems to ensure seamless business operations, sustained operational stability, resilience, and high availability.
Demonstrates a production-support-first approach by independently handling and resolving day-to-day issues impacting the application stack, while leveraging development expertise to drive long-term solutions.
Proactively monitors production environments for anomalies using standard observability toolsets and real-time dashboards, continuously enhancing them to provide visibility into system operability, performance metrics, and timely issue remediation.
Identifies, escalates, and communicates issues in a timely manner while providing well-defined solutions to business and technology stakeholders.
Analyzes complex situations and emerging trends to anticipate, prevent, and resolve incidents, driving effective problem and change management across full-stack technology systems, applications, and infrastructure.
Oversees the trading application stack and critical batch processing workflows to maintain operational integrity and performance standards.
Engages regularly with business client services, infrastructure teams, and key stakeholders to ensure alignment and continuity of supported applications.
Manages the seamless onboarding of new businesses, clients, and applications into the team's portfolio, ensuring smooth integration and transition.
Provides support during weekday and weekend shifts on a rotational basis to ensure round-the-clock operational coverage.
Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills
3+ years of experience or equivalent expertise troubleshooting, resolving, and maintaining information technology services
Demonstrated knowledge of applications or infrastructure in a large-scale technology environment both on premises and public cloud
Experience in observability and monitoring tools and techniques
Exposure to processes in scope of the Information Technology Infrastructure Library (ITIL) framework
Undergraduate degree in a numerate subject (e.g. mathematics, engineering, computing science)
Experience with Control M and Autosys Scheduler
Experience developing and supporting applications built on Python, Java, or .NET framework
Experience with relational databases and ability to write complex SQL queries
Experience working with UNIX/Linux platforms - Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) and AWS platform
Proficiency with incident and problem management best practices including resource coordination, stakeholder communication, root cause analysis, and incident post mortems
Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills
Working knowledge of public cloud
Demonstrated knowledge of Networking/Infrastructure
Experience with KDB or other non-SQL databases
Experience supporting public/private cloud-based, Java or trading applications a plus
AWS certifications preferred (Cloud Practitioner)
Working knowledge of Grafana, Splunk, is a plus; Working knowledge in automation scripting is preferred.
