- Deliver technology to meet business requirements.
- Data Integration and Maintenance
- Creation of new data pipelines and monitoring existing ones
- Proficient in API’s, JSON and SQL
- Data Quality and Governance
- Implementation of logic to clean and transform data in a meaningful way.
- Apply and define data governance standards and policies.
- Optimisation database structures performance, scalability, and data retrieval
- Ensuring data management and governance measures are in place and appropriate
- Infrastructure Management - Monitor and Management of SDMG Azure Data Warehouse
- Experienced in developing Power BI reports and dashboards preferred but not a necessity.
- Automation and Tooling
- Develop automated processes for data extraction, transformation, and loading to improve efficiency and reduce manual errors.
- Ensure to streamline data workflows.
- Performance Tuning - Identify bottlenecks and optimize data processing performance, ensuring timely data availability for analysis and reporting.
- Data Insights
- Provide valuable insights to a company and make recommendations on improving operations or fixing specific problems using technology
- Provide Data insights utilising BI tools, especially Power BI or QlikSense
- Bring together data from multiple sources and work with structured and unstructured data to provide meaningful, user-friendly outputs
- DevOps - Experience with DevOps including developing, deploying, security hardening, monitoring, and logging on top of Azure preferred but not a necessity.
Requirements:
- Relevant qualifications (Diploma / degree) in business functional area
- Minimum 2 years’ experience in a role using BI solutions to develop insight-based reporting, especially Power BI.
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in a role using Azure Data Lake, Azure Data Factory and Azure Data Warehouse.
- Experienced in a variety of visualisation techniques and designs the content and appearance of data visuals.
- Experienced in operationalized and automated activities for efficient and timely production of data visuals.
- Experienced in appropriate visualisation approaches from a range of applicable options.
- Contributed in exploration and experimentation in data visualisation.
- Experienced in using appropriate data visualisation for different purposes and contexts to satisfy requirements.
- Experienced in developing plans to show how the identified user needs will be met.
- Passionate about discovery, finding problems and opportunities for improvement, seeking innovative ways to improve and enhance efficiency and customer experiences
- Understand business problems and identify the relevant data and business rules to create interactive reports/dashboards
- Experienced with technical requirement analysis, business process modelling/mapping, methodology development and data modelling – including designing, creating, and deploying report, dashboards and data models
