Hastings Deering (Australia) LtdWe’re looking for an experienced Technology Site Performance Manager to join our Technology Services team. This role can be based in any of our Central Queensland or Brisbane branches and is a permanent role.
This role carries direct people leadership accountability and is responsible for developing and delivering Autonomous Haulage System (AHS) solutions for customers, working closely with Caterpillar.
The role is critical to ensuring MineStar and autonomy technologies deliver safe, reliable and optimised outcomes for customers, while maintaining strong partnerships across operations, technology teams and OEM stakeholders.
What you’ll be doing:
In this role, you will
- Lead a site‑based team of six Application Specialists
- Own MineStar system performance, availability and optimisation across site operations
- Drive the configuration, support and continuous improvement of MineStar and autonomy solutions
- Lead incident management and root cause analysis to maintain system reliability
- Act as the senior contact for customer product support, building strong and trusted relationships
- Translate customer needs into effective technology and autonomous haulage solutions
- Partner with Caterpillar to develop and deliver AHS solutions for customers
- Support commercial outcomes through technology performance, value realisation and customer satisfaction
What you’ll need:
A successful teammate will have experience in:
- Proven background in technology and autonomy, including MineStar and autonomous haulage systems
- Strong customer product support experience in mining technology or heavy industrial environments
- Demonstrated experience delivering, supporting or optimising AHS solutions in live operations
- Solid understanding of mining operations and mobile equipment technologies
- Proven leadership experience managing technical and autonomy‑focused teams
- Experience working with OEMs and customers to deliver complex technology solutions
- Strong problem‑solving capability, stakeholder engagement skills and focus on safety and operational excellence
