We are seeking a knowledgeable and proactive technology risk expert to join Robinhood’s Enterprise Risk leadership team. In this Technology Risk Senior Manager role, you will partner directly with Robinhood’s cyber security, technology and engineering risk and leadership teams to help manage risks and be strong risk advisors. This person will utilize their technical knowledge and insights to play an influential role in building out and refining Robinhood’s risk management capability. The successful candidate will be a strategic thinker, show a clear ability to thrive in ambiguous environments, able to quickly gain an understanding of Robinhood’s products and the rules and regulations under which we operate.

As a Technology Risk Senior Manager, you will be responsible for performing governance and oversight of cyber security and engineering practices as it related to risk management.

This role is based in our Menlo Park, CA or New York, NY offices, with in-person attendance expected at least 3 days per week.

What you’ll do
  • Partner with Enterprise Risk leadership to help shape and implement Robinhood’s strategic direction for the Enterprise Risk program.
  • Develop and drive methodologies and frameworks to consistently identify, assess, manage and report technology risk exposures, controls and mitigants across multiple technology related areas
  • Efficiently collaborate with senior management on a range of technology risk identification, analysis and remediation efforts
  • Serve as a trusted risk advisor on the evaluation of the business' key risks and controls to perform effective challenge and risk monitoring for technology and technology dependent risk areas
  • Perform in-depth critical analysis of cybersecurity and technology risk data to uncover emerging trends and strengthen regular risk reporting
  • Implement risk management solutions through partnership, training and governance
  • Support Robinhood’s risk management capabilities to meet regulatory requirements and expectations across our entities
  • Build collaborative and trusting relationships with business partners and cross-functional teams
What you bring
  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field of study
  • 10+ years of experience conducting strategic assessments across banks, fintech companies, broker dealers, and other financial institutions
  • Experience driving operational efficiencies by redesigning processes and implementing technical solutions
  • Strong project management, organizational, oral and written communication skills
  • Prior experience with security and technology standards and related risk management practices
  • Experience in defining risk mitigation and leading regulatory compliance initiatives
  • Composed under pressure, objective and diplomatic
  • Highly detail-oriented, organized, and analytical
  • Bonus points: CISSP, CISM/CISA, CRISC, Series 7, 24, 4 certifications, PMP or other related certification

In addition to the base pay range listed below, this role is also eligible for bonus opportunities + equity + benefits.

Base pay for the successful applicant will depend on a variety of job-related factors, which may include education, training, experience, location, business needs, or market demands. The expected base pay range for this role is based on the location where the work will be performed and is aligned to one of 3 compensation zones. For other locations not listed, compensation can be discussed with your recruiter during the interview process.

$170,000$200,000 USD
Zone 2 (Denver, CO; Westlake, TX; Chicago, IL)
$150,000$176,000 USD
Zone 3 (Lake Mary, FL; Clearwater, FL; Gainesville, FL)
$133,000$156,000 USD
