Position Summary: Provides professional technology project management experience to designated projects and assignments at a client site, campus, and facilities. Interacts with client representatives onsite, receives direction and coordinates with the property or facility management team. Monitors and coordinates the execution of the various services and processes relating to client contracted agreements for project management and building improvements. Works in collaboration with the assigned account manager, building or facility management team, clients, owners and others.

The role will focus on IT coordination and project management activities, which shall include:

(a) coordinating with Customer’s local technology teams to receive the project-specific program and requirements for network, cabling, IT room, A/V, security, and other low voltage components.

(b) integrate Customer’s requirements into final design documents and construction scope.

(c) for Minor Works projects, manage the physical installation, coordinating with Customer’s vendors and/or administering a tender package on behalf of Customer. Coordinate procurement activities by the Customer and track progress and report potential impacts to overall schedule driven by technology specific issues.

(d) for Capital Projects, manage third-party design firms and/or internal design teams to integrate technology requirements into design documents. Subcontract IT project management services of installation from third-party contractors and/or self-perform as applicable; and

(f) develop processes and protocols to enable self-delivery of IT project management.

Essential Responsibilities:

Planning

Detail project technology requirements aligned to project objective into a scope document to be issued design team to develop the detail design for each package.

Work with Lead Project PM to consolidate technology cost tracker into the main budget tracker, work with the Client Technology team to rebase line the cost tracker at key milestones of the project.

Coordinate with Client Technology Team to ensure all relevant technology activities are detailed and maintained the Master program.

Coordinate with Client Technology Team who will lead procurement of all technology related activities.

Report to Lead Project Manager on the progress for scope, cost, schedule, risk, and procurement issues, for all projects on a weekly basis, in a consistent and timely manner.

Represent the technology workstream at the weekly PWG, that will include the Client Technology team, local stakeholder and business unit teams.

Feasibility & Design

Carryout site audit to provide site requirements with Client Technology team to develop designs for Structured cabling, IT room requirements, AV/VC, workstation technology, services into final design documents and compile their design deliverables for submission and approval.

Participate in Value Engineering workshops with Client Technology team for budget reviews.

Identify risks and maintain a risk register and review periodically with Lead Project Manager & Client Technology team.

Receive and coordinate all documents & instructions from the Client Technology team to confirm full compliance with all Client Technology standards.

Own the procurement process with execution carried out by the Client Technology team, providing on-site intel and information as requested by the Client Technology team who will coordinate and process the procurement phase for each package.

Execution The TPM is to coordinate and ensure smooth on-time execution of the technology deliverables on the project. Coordinate with the project team, designers, furniture suppliers, other contractors and consultants to ensure all technology is coordinated with the CRE deliverables and spaces. Identify and register all IT/project related risks & Issues with Client Technology team, Lead Project Manager for mitigation and escalation to the Client stakeholder/s. Coordinate and oversee all installation efforts with Client technology vendors and support the Lead Project Manager coordinating with the General Contractor and other project vendors or team members. Coordinate with Client Technology team for execution of Client technology processes and procedures. Monitor and track progress, ensuring prompt weekly reports as requested by the Lead Project Manager and the Client Technology team. Manage the collection of the technology asset details from the contractors for submission to Client Technology team to register the assets in the CMDB and on the network. Coordinate with the move planner and change teams the technology requirements for the project. Own and coordinate with the Client’s approved contractor/vendor & the Client Technology team for the successful and timely UAT of all technological systems related to the project. Coordinate the transfer of the systems from project to BAU ownership with all documentation as set out in the handover procedure documentation. Review and Certify work done on site and provide recommendations to Lead Project Manager for payment Provide Cashflow Forecast for all Technology Vendors (as required) Ensure proper documentation of As-builts information and code is submitted to the Client technology hub team for acceptance and record. Coordination and facilitation training to end users by the providers.

Closure

Consolidate all systems’ snag list and track for sign off and closure.

Close remaining contracts for consultants and vendors in alignment with Client Technology Delivery team

Ensure all final accounts are processed and work together with Lead Project Manager.

Compile project closure report to Lead Project Manager

Education:

  • B.S. Degree in Engineering, Architecture

Important Experience:

  • Minimum of 5 years directly related experience in an engineering/construction project accountability role
  • Minimum of 5 years technology project management experience required
  • Minimum of 3 years of supervisory experience in a project management capacity especially experience in leading, motivating, and developing employees
  • Knowledge of network, telecommunications, and IT infrastructure management
  • Hands-on experience with technology construction projects in leased environment preferred

The compensation that will be offered to the successful candidate will depend on factors such as whether the position is covered by a collective bargaining agreement, the geographic area in which the work will be performed, market pay rates in that area, and the candidate’s experience and qualifications.


The company will not pay less than minimum wage for this role.


The compensation for the position is: $ 127,500.00 - $150,000.00
