Job Summary:

The Portfolio Lead provides strategic oversight of the Technology portfolio across one or more domains, ensuring alignment of investments, initiatives, and resources with organizational priorities and business objectives. The role drives portfolio governance, prioritization, financial oversight, performance monitoring, and benefits realization, while providing transparency into portfolio health, risks, dependencies, and value delivery across the Technology organization.

Your Key Responsibilities:

Your responsibilities include, but not limited to:

  • Lead and govern the Technology portfolio, ensuring effective portfolio management processes, standards, and governance across assigned domains.
  • Manage the end-to-end portfolio lifecycle, including demand intake, prioritization, project execution, value realization, and closure.
  • Drive portfolio reviews, leadership meetings, and monthly business reviews to support strategic decision-making.
  • Monitor portfolio performance, timelines, dependencies, budgets, risks, and benefits realization against business objectives.
  • Deliver clear and actionable portfolio reporting, providing visibility of status, risks, financials, and strategic alignment.
  • Collaborate with Technology leadership, Finance, Procurement, P&O, and project teams to ensure alignment and transparency.
  • Support resource planning, vendor management, and financial governance, including budgets, forecasts, actuals, and SOW processes.
  • Ensure compliance with organisational standards and methodologies while proactively managing portfolio risks and issues.

What you’ll bring to the role:

Essential Requirements:

  • 7+ years of experience in Technology Portfolio Management, PMO, Project Portfolio Management, or a similar role within a multinational organisation.
  • Proven experience managing complex portfolios, programmes, and projects from initiation through delivery.
  • Strong understanding of portfolio governance, project lifecycle management, and PMO best practices.
  • Demonstrated ability to develop and implement portfolio management strategies, frameworks, and processes.
  • Strong financial acumen with experience managing budgets, forecasts, resource planning, and financial reporting.
  • Excellent stakeholder management, communication, influencing, and relationship-building skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities with the ability to manage complexity and drive data-led decisions.
  • Fluent English, both written and spoken.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business Administration, Project Management, or a related discipline.
  • Master's degree in Business Administration (MBA), Information Systems, Project Management, or a related field is preferred.
  • Professional certifications such as PMP, PRINCE2, Agile, SAFe, or PPM qualifications are advantageous.
  • Strong knowledge of project and portfolio management methodologies, tools, and governance frameworks.
  • Experience in financial management, resource planning, and vendor management.
  • Proficiency in data analysis, reporting, and data visualisation.
  • Demonstrated experience in change management and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Strong leadership, consulting, and strategic planning capabilities.
