Dwolla is a leading fintech company that provides businesses with secure, scalable, and seamless ways to move money. Dwolla moves over $62 billion a year and serves around 2 billion API requests per year.

Technology Operations Intern - Automating Business Processes

As a Dwolla Technology Operations Intern, you will be embedded directly within a dynamic team focused on enhancing organizational efficiency. You will work alongside various departments to identify, analyze, and implement automation opportunities across Dwolla. Our intention is for you to make a tangible impact by improving our internal processes and gaining valuable professional experience in business operations and automation. And we hope you have some fun along the way too!

What will you work on during your internship?

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams (e.g., engineering, product, finance, support) to understand existing business processes and identify areas for automation.
  • Analyze current workflows to pinpoint inefficiencies and opportunities for improvement through automation.
  • Assist in the design and implementation of AI solutions, potentially utilizing various tools and technologies. While the sources mention developer-first APIs, your role may involve leveraging user-friendly AI and automation platforms or working with technical teams to implement API-driven solutions.
  • Participate in product discovery alongside relevant teams to understand the business needs that can be addressed through use of AI and revamped processes.
  • Document new and improved processes, including workflows and automation configurations. While the software engineering interns document code, your focus will be on documenting business processes.
  • Assist in testing and validating automated processes to ensure accuracy and efficiency.
  • Contribute to the ongoing improvement and optimization of automated workflows.
  • Participate in team meetings and provide updates on your progress.

Job Requirements
