We are seeking a skilled and experienced Technology Operations Engineer to help power our Technology Operations Center (TOC). As a Technology Operations Engineer, you will be responsible for the monitoring, maintaining, and troubleshooting our platforms. You will report to the Technology Operations Lead and work closely with cross-functional teams, including product management, engineering, information technology, customer success, and security to drive innovation and efficiency in our SaaS operations.
- Operate and support our private and public cloud platforms
- Perform day-to-day activities within the Technical Operations Center, including incident handling, monitoring, and escalation procedures
- Be part of a 24/7 schedule rotation
- Coordinate with other teams to address critical incidents and outages
- Perform irregular and regular tasks, such as deployments, maintenance, data updates, and other duties as needed
- Manage our incident management system
- Identify and troubleshoot anomalies, performance bottlenecks, and connectivity issues
- Participate in incident management and reporting
- Act is primary point of contact for incidents
- Follow standard operating procedures (SOP’s) to take corrective actions to restore services
- Escalate complex issues to appropriate teams and stakeholders
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement best practice, standards, and policies related to technical operations at scale
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information technology, or related field; OR CompTIA A+ or Net+ certification; OR at least 4 years of applicable experience
- 2+ years of experience with demonstrated success in operating mission critical software and services
- 2+ years of experience in 24x7x365 technology operations
- Understanding of DevOps principles and practices, including CI/CD pipelines, containerization, etc.
- Experience with on-call and incident management systems (OpsGenie, PagerDuty, etc.)
- Experience with modern observability tools (Datadog, Grafana, New Relic, etc.)
- Excellent English communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, etc.)
- Proficiency with Terraform, CloudFormation, or other Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools
- Experience with Security Operations and/or experience working in a SOC
- Experience administering Linux and Windows servers in a cloud or datacenter environment
Work Schedule:
This position requires working in 24/7 rotational shifts, including evenings, late nights, and weekends. The role will be working in a hybrid work mode, with a minimum of two days required in the office each week, based in Hyderabad or Gurugram.
