What will you be doing?The Technology BU is a global organization with discipline-based governance and priority setting, supported by Agile ways of working. This approach will offer our customers shorter lead times, as well as more cost-effective and reliable solutions.
As Managing Director Corporate QHSE, you will be responsible for developing and implementing global strategies related to Quality, Health, Safety, and Environment (QHSE) across Vanderlande’s operations and systems. This role ensures compliance with regulatory standards, promotes a culture of continuous improvement, and drives operational excellence in safety across system designs.
Your ResponsibilitiesQHSE Strategy & Compliance- Define and implement a global QHSE strategy aligned with corporate objectives and regulatory requirements.
- Ensure compliance with international health, safety, environmental, and quality standards across all business units.
- Lead audits, assessments, and certifications to maintain and improve QHSE standards.
- Develop and implement risk management frameworks to identify, assess, and mitigate operational risks.
- Enhance safety protocols, training programs, and reporting mechanisms to improve workplace safety and reduce incidents.
- Oversee environmental initiatives to drive sustainability, waste reduction, and energy efficiency across global operations.
- Utilize data analytics and digital tools to enhance monitoring, reporting, and decision-making in QHSE operations.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives through Lean and Six Sigma methodologies.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate QHSE best practices into business processes and product innovations.
- Build, mentor, and lead a global, high-performing QHSE team
- Engage with leadership teams and employees to promote awareness and accountability for QHSE performance.
- Develop training programs to enhance employee knowledge and compliance with QHSE standards.
- Ensure compliance with corporate policies, ethical business practices, and industry regulations
- Promote a culture of continuous improvement and innovation through Agile ways of working and advanced technological innovations
- 12+ years of experience in QHSE leadership roles, preferably in the logistics automation, manufacturing, or industrial automation sectors.
- Strong knowledge of international QHSE regulations, including ISO standards and environmental compliance frameworks.
- Proven track record of leading safety and quality management programs at a global scale.
- Expertise in risk assessment, incident investigation, and compliance auditing.
- Experience in driving cultural change and embedding safety and quality mindsets within organizations.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills, with the ability to engage cross-functional teams and executive leadership.
