Job Summary
The Technology Manager will be responsible for the management and coordination of all new product activities across the Bank including the creation of a standardize product process, project schedule matrix and product delivery status. The Technology Manager will guide the team of Information Technology professionals that are responsible for the development, implementation, and maintenance of all product related activities. The Technology Manager will be responsible provide guidance and leadership to the team as they lead multiple projects and provide service to internal business customers.
Job Responsibilities:
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
- This position will guide and lead a team of Information Technology professionals that are responsible for the development, implementation, and maintenance of business applications systems.
- Constantly communicate with various Information Technology teams and business unit management to keep everyone up to date on the status of all activities thus ensuring that the business specifications are met and delivered on time.
- This person will serves as the conduit between the customer community (internal and external customers) and the software development team through which requirements flow.
- As a Manager, this person will responsible to provide guidance and leadership to the team as they lead multiple projects and provide service to internal business customers on a timely manner.
- This person will provide technical, strategic and tactical consultation to internal business customers.
- This person will be able to evaluate new systems, processes and technology to determine how they may fit into the long term strategy or improve upon the availability of existing solutions.
- Understand how being successful in these requirements supports the job's assigned Strategic Capability.
- Complete assigned annual compliance training modules meeting both established deadlines and passing scores.
- A staff member will adhere to all requirements and will not act in a manner signifying intentional or willful noncompliance, nor will they exhibit gross negligence or a general disregard for compliance and regulatory standards or business unit policy, standard and procedure requirements.
- Uses independent judgement and discretion to make decisions.
- Analyzes and resolves problems.
- May be responsible for talent management functions including: employment, performance evaluations, staff development/training, disciplinary actions, succession planning and ensuring all staff comply with compliance requirements.
ADDITIONAL ACCOUNTABILITIES
- Performs special projects, and additional duties and responsibilities as required.
- Consistently adheres to regulatory and compliance policies and standards linked to the job as listed and complete required compliance trainings. Accountable to maintain compliance with applicable federal, state and local laws and regulations.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
Required Qualifications:
- Education level required: Undergraduate Degree (4 years or equivalent).
- Minimum experience required: 8 years of IT experience preferably in the Mortgage or Banking Industries.
- A combination of strong system development, technical analytical experience and hands-on leadership experience preferred.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Education level preferred: Master's Degree in a related field.
Job Competencies:
- Ability to assist the Business Units in drafting business cases to qualify an idea or opportunity that will require IT resources.
- Ability to proactively lead Business Units in identifying their technology needs to design and maintain their IT roadmap.
- Ability to perform strategic data analysis and research to support the Business Unit’s technology needs.
- Ability to communicate effectively and deliver difficult messages with diplomacy and influence without control.
- Strong experience in planning requests, project charters and provide updates for managers, directors and executives.
- Must be 100% comfortable with speaking to all levels within the bank organization in both written and verbal communication.
- Ability to handle multiple competing deadlines on corporate initiatives and team requirements.
- Ability to determine solutions to team and departmental requests and needs.
- Ability to discern risks and issues with technology deployed and being evaluated.
- Ability to identify root cause and resolutions to system failures.
- Ability to maintain high level of understanding of new technology and industry trends.
- Ability to support team members & peers to assist them with maintaining this same balance.
- Must be able available and reachable as needed.
