The Role

Job Summary

Synechron is seeking a Sr. Manager-Technology to lead our dynamic technology teams. This role is crucial for driving technology initiatives, ensuring successful project delivery, and aligning technology roadmaps with business strategy. The Sr. Manager-Technology will provide technical leadership and mentorship, manage vendor relationships, and contribute significantly to Synechron’s strategic objectives by delivering high-value technology solutions that meet business needs.

Software Requirements

  • Required:

    • In-depth understanding of various technologies and software systems.
    • Knowledge of Agile development methodologies and project management tools.
    • Proficiency in software architecture and design patterns.
    • Experience with cloud computing platforms and infrastructure.
    • Familiarity with database management systems and data structures.
  • Preferred:

    • Experience with specific cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.

Overall Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage cross-functional technology teams to achieve high performance and quality.
  • Provide technical guidance and mentorship to team members, fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
  • Drive technology initiatives, ensuring successful delivery of projects aligned with business objectives.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to understand business requirements and translate them into technology solutions.
  • Develop and maintain technology roadmaps that align with overall business strategy.
  • Evaluate new technologies and make recommendations for adoption to enhance the technological capabilities of the organization.
  • Manage vendor relationships and negotiate contracts to ensure optimal service delivery and cost-efficiency.

Technical Skills (By Category)

  • Programming Languages:

    • Preferred: Experience with languages relevant to cloud and infrastructure development.
  • Databases/Data Management:

    • Required: Understanding of database management systems and data structures.
  • Cloud Technologies:

    • Required: Knowledge of cloud computing platforms and infrastructure.
    • Preferred: Specific experience with AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.

Experience Requirements

  • A minimum of 8-10 years of experience in technology leadership and software development.

  • Industry experience in technology and financial services is preferred.
  • Alternative experience pathways include roles in strategic technology leadership within large organizations.

  • Manage vendor relationships, ensuring service quality and cost-effectiveness.
  • Mentor team members, providing technical guidance and fostering professional development.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • Relevant certifications in cloud computing or Agile methodologies are preferred.
  • Commitment to continuous professional development and staying abreast of industry trends.
