Technology Lead, Experiences Engineering

Full time, Remote (US-East Coast Based)

As a Technology Lead, Experiences Engineering, you will be a key technical driver within our Experiences team, focused on the successful execution of critical projects related to our foundational systems. You will work closely with the Engineering management and other engineers to design, develop, and deliver high-quality, scalable, and reliable core components. This role offers the opportunity to have a significant technical impact on the platform and mentor other engineers through your expertise.

In this role, you will:

  • Take technical ownership and drive the execution of key projects related to our core platform components.
  • Collaborate with the Engineering management and team to define technical requirements, architecture, and implementation plans.
  • Design and develop robust, scalable, and performant core platform features and improvements using our tech stack (Ruby on Rails, EmberJS, AWS).
  • Provide technical guidance and mentorship to other engineers on the team, promoting best practices and code quality.
  • Lead code reviews to ensure maintainability, security, and performance of the codebase.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues related to core platform functionality.
  • Contribute to the improvement of our development processes and tools.
  • Ensure the timely and high-quality delivery of assigned technical tasks and projects.

We are looking for someone with the following skills:

  • At least 5 years of experience as a Software Engineer, with a strong focus on backend development and API design.
  • Deep technical expertise in our tech stack: Ruby on Rails, EmberJS, and AWS.
  • Proven ability to design, develop, and deploy scalable and reliable applications in a cloud environment.
  • Excellent problem-solving and debugging skills, with a strong attention to detail.
  • Strong understanding of software engineering best practices, including testing, code quality, and continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD).
  • Ability to effectively communicate technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Experience leading technical discussions and providing constructive feedback in code reviews.
  • Proactive and self-motivated, with a strong passion for delivering high-quality software and a continuous drive to explore, learn, and leverage AI technologies to their full potential.
  • Experience mentoring junior engineers is a plus.
