We are seeking a skilled Business Analyst to join our second line of defense team, playing a crucial role in the development and enhancement of a new, unified platform for our Risk and Compliance organization. This position is central to our data migration initiatives and the successful onboarding of various teams onto a standardized workflow. The Business Analyst will act as a vital conduit between the Risk and Compliance streams, business stakeholders, and technology teams. You will be responsible for translating high-level business needs into detailed requirements, ensuring the resulting platform is robust, scalable, and compliant with all regulatory standards, including 2nd Line of Defense Testing workflow.
Key Responsibilities:
Requirements Elicitation and Analysis: Collaborate with all stakeholders, including Risk, Compliance, business users, and dependent technology teams, to elicit, analyze, and document detailed business requirements.
Epic and Story Decomposition: Work closely with the Product Owner to break down high-level Epics into well-defined, actionable user stories with comprehensive acceptance criteria.
Data Migration Support: Perform detailed analysis to support the data migration from legacy systems to the new unified platform. This includes data mapping, defining transformation rules, and establishing data validation criteria to ensure data integrity.
Process and Workflow Modeling: Document current and future state workflows, identifying gaps and opportunities for process improvement to support the development of a single, unified workflow for Risk and Compliance.
Team Onboarding and Training: Assist in the onboarding of new teams to the platform by developing user guides, training materials, and providing subject matter expertise to ensure a smooth transition and adoption.
Testing and Quality Assurance: Partner with the QA team to develop detailed test cases and scenarios. Participate in the testing process to validate that the implemented solutions meet the business requirements.
Stakeholder Communication: Serve as a key communication bridge, ensuring all stakeholders have a clear and common understanding of the requirements, project status, and deliverables.
Ideal Candidate Profile:
Proven experience as a Business Analyst, preferably within a second line of defense function in the financial services industry.
Strong understanding of risk management principles, compliance frameworks, and regulatory processes.
Experience with large-scale data migration projects, including data analysis, mapping, and validation.
Expertise in Agile methodologies (Scrum/Kanban), with a proven ability to write clear and effective Epics, user stories, and acceptance criteria.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to translate complex business needs into detailed technical requirements.
Experience in developing test cases and supporting the quality assurance process.
Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively engage and manage stakeholders across different levels and departments.
