As a strategic partner to technology leadership, this Senior Lead works across the organization to align business priorities, technology roadmaps, resource capacity, and delivery expectations. Key responsibilities include facilitating cross-functional governance activities and forums, overseeing end-to-end delivery lifecycle processes, and ensuring adherence to enterprise risk management, compliance, and control requirements. This role drives transparency and accountability through effective communication, reporting, and stakeholder engagement, while championing a culture of collaboration, continuous improvement, operational excellence, and shared ownership.
Additionally, this position leads initiatives focused on increasing efficiency, reducing risk, and enhancing service reliability across the technology organization.
This Senior Lead is responsible for leading and coordinating high-impact, cross-functional programs and strategic initiatives, ensuring effective execution, removing barriers, and delivering measurable business outcomes. Working closely with senior executives and key stakeholders, the role identifies strategic opportunities, addresses emerging challenges, and strengthens governance and operational effectiveness across the organization.
Additionally, this position develops and delivers executive-level communications, presentations, and briefing materials, translating complex technical, operational, and risk-related information into clear, actionable insights that support informed decision-making and organizational success.
In this role, you will:
- Act as an advisor to senior leadership to develop or influence plans, specifications, resource needs, and goals for multi-faceted, highly complex, or long-term risk mitigation and control strategies on behalf of the business
- Lead the strategy and resolution of highly complex current and emerging risks which require understanding of business-specific knowledge related to financial crimes, operational risk, audit, legal, credit risk, market risk, IT, systems security, business process management, and applicable business acumen
- Provide vision, direction, and expertise to senior leadership on implementing innovative and significant business solutions that are large-scale, multi-faceted, long-term, or companywide strategies
- Strategically engage with all levels of professionals and managers companywide and serve as an expert advisor to leadership
- 7+ years of risk management, business controls, quality assurance, business operations, compliance, or process experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education
- 5+ years of experience in technology delivery, program management, or technology operations leadership
- 5+ years of experience in issue management frameworks, delivery methodologies (Agile/Waterfall), and governance models
- Proven track record of partnering with senior business and technology leaders in complex organizations
- Strong understanding of software development, infrastructure, cloud, and enterprise technology environments
- Exceptional communication and negotiation skills with the ability to influence at all levels
- Experience in technology risk management, operational resiliency, and regulatory execution within large-scale banking organizations
- Expertise in developing executive dashboards and reporting for issue management and remediation tracking
- Familiarity with emerging technology risk frameworks, cybersecurity standards, and operational resiliency requirements
- Ability to lead cultural change initiatives that promote transparency and accountability across technology teams
