Technology Integration Expert

DP World, the fast-growing transportation and logistics leader that currently manages more than 10% of world trade, is seeking four Technology Integration Experts to join our regional Technology Integration team, working remotely from Romania.

In this role, you will design, implement and optimize EDI and API integrations between internal systems and external business partners. You will translate integration requirements into clear mapping and implementation instructions, provide operational support for live interfaces and help ensure seamless data flows across more than 300 external partners and over 60 internal software systems across Europe.

You will work within approved EDI/API, security, change and project-management guidelines, prioritise and resolve incidents and implementation tasks within your scope, escalating risks and deviations.

These roles are being offered on a remote basis, but ideally you are based in Bucharest or in Constanta.
 

Your Responsibilities:

• Translating workflow-based interface requests into clear mapping and implementation instructions, in line with established EDI and API guidelines.
• Configuring interfaces and mappings for standard and customer-specific formats, including EDIFACT, IDOC, JSON, X.12 and XML.
• Implementing new interfaces and enhancements to existing integrations between internal systems and external business partners.
• Configuring and supporting secure communication protocols, including AS2, OFTP, SFTP and HTTPS, as well as related certificate updates.
• Planning and coordinating functional and integration testing, while maintaining accurate implementation and change documentation.
• Analysing EDI and API incidents, prioritising them effectively, delivering corrective actions and escalating complex issues where required.
• Monitoring middleware and service-desk alerts proactively, resolving issues within scope and escalating those requiring further support.
• Working both independently and as part of a diverse team, contributing ideas and continuously improving integration methods, tools and processes.
• Supporting a collaborative and respectful working environment where different perspectives are valued and every team member can contribute to shared success.

Your Profile:

• Completed higher education studies in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or a related field.
• Approximately two years of practical experience in designing, implementing and supporting EDI and API-based integrations between internal systems and external business partners.
• Knowledge of EDI message types, protocols and middleware solutions; familiarity with the Lobster Data Platform is an advantage.
• Understanding of secure communication protocols such as AS2, OFTP, SFTP and HTTPS, including certificate-based communication, as well as network technologies and network security principles.
• Experience in incident analysis, proactive monitoring and operational support for business-critical systems.
• Fluency in English is a must, with fluency in any additional European languages, particularly in German, being an advantage.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities effectively while maintaining quality and meeting deadlines.
• Strong communication and coordination skills, with the ability to explain technical topics clearly to technical and non-technical stakeholders, coordinate testing and documentation, and escalate risks or deviations in a timely manner.
• Analytical and detail-oriented approach to problem solving, with the ability to identify root causes, maintain high-quality mappings, configurations and documentation, and quickly learn new technologies.
• Independent and collaborative way of working, with strong prioritisation skills, commitment to deadlines, and responsibility for protecting company, customer and partner data at all times.
