Wells Fargo is seeking a Technology Director within Chief Development Experience Office.
In this role, you will:
- Lead a high-performing team of engineering managers, product managers, and technical leads to deliver enterprise-scale solutions.
- Architect and implement developer experience platforms that span onboarding, tooling, CI/CD pipelines, and observability.
- Define and execute technical product strategy, feature roadmaps, and delivery plans aligned with enterprise priorities.
- Champion software engineering best practices, including secure coding, automated testing, performance optimization, and continuous integration.
- Oversee the technical quality, scalability, and resilience of solutions developed internally or by third-party providers.
- Drive adoption of cloud-native development, containerization, and infrastructure-as-code across teams.
- Collaborate with business and technology leaders to align engineering initiatives with strategic goals.
- Establish and monitor technical KPIs to measure developer productivity, experience, and platform reliability.
- Lead technical risk management, including threat modeling, dependency analysis, and incident response planning.
- Develop strategies for engineering talent acquisition, retention, and upskilling.
- Represent Wells Fargo in industry forums, regulatory bodies, and external technical communities
8+ years of Technology Strategic Leadership experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education
4+ years of management or leadership experience
Desired Qualifications
- Over 8 plus years of engineering leadership experience, overseeing large-scale software development and delivery.
- Proven expertise in software development & architecture; skilled in modern languages and frameworks.
- In-depth knowledge of enterprise SDLC, agile, and DevOps.
- Proficient with cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, GCP), developer tools, and AI-assisted environments.
- Experience with developer enablement platforms like onboarding automation, self-service tools, and integrated development environments.
- Skilled in code generation tools, AI-powered development platforms, and automation frameworks.
- Knowledge of developer experience tools, including telemetry dashboards, feedback loops, and productivity analytics.
- Skilled at leading multiple agile teams to deliver complex programs through cross-functional collaboration.
