The intern will assist in software development and support of applications used in the Cash Equities sector. Responsibilities include code development, database queries, documentation, and learning about the Equities market. Participation in re-engineering processes and understanding SDLC, Agile, DevOps, and Change Management methodologies is essential.

Job Description
Responsibilities Include but not limited to:

  • Software development applications in programming languages required to deploy the changes in low environments as well as in production environment.
  • Understand and analyze and maintain the vendor and internal developed applications created to run the business with the highest standards of quality.
  • Analyze and review the internal business requirements, then plan and create the necessary code to build Data Bases queries and once approved deliver into the Production environment via Change Management policies
  • Participate in projects with the purpose to re-engineer an existent process or even create new ones from the scratch.
  • Learn and be able to understand the Equities market businesses to ensure that the business can perform trading with our clients and the Mexican Stock Exchanges, in terms of connectivity and functionality.
  • Create and provide documentation to the above tasks before production delivery to have well documented new or amended functionalities, containing the necessary procedures to provide knowledge for the L3 support team.
  • Understand and apply the knowledge learned in our platform to promote software from the test environment into production environment.

  • Learn and be able to understand how we make businesses across the globe and in the Mexico Broker Dealer.
  • Be able to work with Software Data Life Cycle (SDLC) standards.
  • Understand and apply Agile, Scrum and DevOps technology vanguard technologies.
  • Change Management methodologies and automated deployment tools to be performed.


Qualifications include:

  • Student of Data or Computer Science, Software Engineering, or something similar.
  • You professional career studies must be in progress and at least with 2 years of the graduation target date.
  • Languages; Spanish and fluent English
  • Knowledge of MS Office package; Excel and Word
  • Knowledge of Data Base is a must: Oracle DB, PL/SQL, Java fundamentals or Python
  • Desired knowledge of: Java scripts, Bash scripts, ETLs, Linux OS, Jenkins, BitBucket or GitHub or any other deployment tooling like PowerShell or Git Bash.
