About this role:
Wells Fargo is seeking a Technology Business Systems Senior Manager.
This Senior Manager role will lead CTO-wide Problem Management, Incident Management, Change Operations, Technology Resiliency, Vulnerability Management, Application Risk Management, Capacity Management and Backup Governance. The role requires a hands-on technology leader who can connect operational data with engineering action, challenge root causes and ensure permanent fixes are delivered.
The leader will manage a team focused on improving service stability, reducing vulnerability exposure, strengthening resiliency and driving disciplined execution across a complex enterprise technology landscape.
In this role, you will:
  • Own CTO-wide Problem Management and drive reduction of recurring incidents, systemic issues and operational risk.
  • Lead major incident and problem reviews across application, infrastructure, cloud, network, cybersecurity and platform domains.
  • Challenge root cause analysis and remediation plans to ensure fixes address underlying engineering issues, not just symptoms.
  • Partner with Engineering, Infrastructure, Cloud, SRE, Cybersecurity and Application teams to drive sustainable corrective actions.
  • Use incident, problem, change, vulnerability, resiliency and operational health data to identify emerging risks and failure patterns.
  • Lead governance for high-risk and high-impact changes, including risk assessment, implementation readiness, validation and rollback planning.
  • Drive continuous improvement in change success rates, incident response, service recovery, platform stability and operational resilience.
  • Lead CTO Vulnerability Management governance, including prioritization, remediation accountability and reduction of critical and high-risk exposure.
  • Oversee Application Risk Management across critical services, ensuring reliability, recoverability, security and operational readiness expectations are met.
  • Establish Capacity Management practices to track utilization, forecast demand and address performance or infrastructure constraints early.
  • Lead Backup and Recovery governance, including data protection readiness, recovery validation and alignment to business continuity expectations.
  • Influence technology roadmaps by highlighting reliability issues, resiliency gaps, technical debt and recurring operational challenges.
  • Build, coach and lead a high-performing team across Problem, Incident, Change, Resiliency, Vulnerability, Capacity and Backup governance.
  • Partner effectively with senior technology leaders, managers and global teams across locations and time zones.
Required Qualifications:
  • 7+ years of Business Systems Data, Business Systems Designing, and Information Technology Consulting, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education
  • 3+ years management or leadership experience
Desired Qualifications:
  • 12+ years of experience in technology, infrastructure, application engineering, cybersecurity, cloud, site reliability engineering or enterprise technology operations.
  • 5+ years of leadership experience managing teams, managers or complex enterprise technology functions.
  • Strong technical background in enterprise infrastructure, cloud platforms, application engineering, SRE, cybersecurity operations, platform operations or enterprise technology operations.
  • Strong understanding of Problem Management, Incident Management, Change Management, Technology Resiliency, Vulnerability Management, Application Risk, Capacity Management, Backup Governance and Operational Risk Management.
  • Ability to lead technical discussions with engineers, architects, SRE teams, cybersecurity teams and senior technology leaders.
  • Proven ability to challenge root causes, assess remediation plans and drive permanent resolution of systemic issues.
  • Experience using operational metrics, incident trends, vulnerability data and resiliency insights to drive technology improvement.
  • Strong stakeholder management, influencing, communication and execution skills in a matrixed organization.
  • Ability to keep teams motivated and accountable while managing complex priorities and high-impact operational work.
