Carry Our Culture: You foster a culture of customer centricity, high performance, and exceptional collaboration. You lead with integrity, empower others, and build inclusive, high-performing teams that reflect Pearson’s values and behaviors.

Deliver Results: You set ambitious goals and execute with quality, precision, and speed. You hold yourself and others accountable for outcomes, ensuring alignment with strategic priorities and delivering measurable impact for learners and stakeholders.

What You’ll Do

  • Strategic Alignment: Work with business unit leaders to understand their objectives, challenges, market context, and technology requirements. Translate business goals into technology strategies and roadmaps, ensuring OCTO initiatives are aligned with A &Q business priorities.

  • Trusted Advisor: Provide expert advice on technology investments, digital transformation, and architecture. Offer guidelines on the effective use of IT services vendors and technology partners

  • Relationship & Communication: Bridge OCTO (Office of the CTO) teams and business units, conveying technology capabilities, constraints, and benefits clearly. Build trust through transparency and active listening, keeping business engaged with OCTO initiatives

  • Focus on Business Outcomes: Collaborate with the OCTO group to ensure technology initiatives support strategic business goals. Prioritize initiatives based on their potential to deliver measurable business outcomes.

  • Own and execute the long-term vision for A&Q aligned with company-wide Technology goals and the broader organizational mission.

  • Foster a culture of innovation, accountability, automation, operational rigor and continuous improvement.

  • Serve as a key member of the Technology Business Partner Leadership team, providing thought leadership across technology, product, and HR.

  • Play an advisory role in implementing artificial intelligence solutions to address critical A&Q technology challenges, streamline processes, improve the end user experience, and optimise efficiency within software development and technology operations.

What You Bring

  • Technology Strategy & Architecture: Ability to develop and implement technology strategies that align with business goals

  • Leadership and Collaboration: A collaborative, inclusive, empathetic leadership style with a track record of inspiring teams and driving cultural growth.

  • Continuous Improvement: Implementing a culture of continuous improvement where delivery processes are regularly reviewed and refined to enhance efficiency and effectiveness. This includes adopting new technologies and practices that can improve delivery outcomes.

  • Outcome-Driven Approach: Focusing on delivering measurable business outcomes rather than just completing projects. This means prioritizing initiatives that have the potential to drive significant business value and ensuring that delivery efforts are aligned with these priorities.

  • Business roles: Experience in spear heading technology transformation initiatives working with C-suite leadership specifically leading large-scale Technology transformation projects is preferred.
