This position's main objective is to provide support to the Technology team. It is also an expectation to offer ancillary support to other departments as the Technical Manager sees fit. This role reports directly to the Technical Manager and is a key component of the Dunkirk team.
Responsibilities:
- Technology Department Support
- Review processing activities for critical orders and material to verify adherence to required specifications
- Collect, analyze, and summarize product and process data to support operational reporting and decision-making
- Monitor departmental backlogs and escalate necessary items as needed
- Compile and summarize data for reports, projects, and continuous improvement initiatives
- Prepare and review heat treatment charts for accuracy, completeness, and compliance
- Compare conversion requisitions against order requirements
- Review process records against current procedures, customer order requirements, and fixed practices
- Systems Support
- Administrative support tasks, such as scanning, printing, and retrieving necessary documents
- Maintaining a current database by consistently uploading purchase orders in a timely manner
- QA/QC functions
- Assist in and execute customer/OEM audits
- Generate and review material certifications to meet necessary requirements
- Quality assurance audit support
- Review test results to confirm acceptability to relevant customer requirements
- Provide support for quality assurance audits and ensure accuracy through document review
Skills:
- Organizational and analytical skills are mandatory
- Effective communication, both written and oral
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook)
- Capability to customize communication to both technical and non-technical personnel to ensure understanding
- Attention to detail and ability to identify anomalies
Profile:
- Safety orientated individual with a self-starter and motivated attitude
- Someone who is able to meet deadlines while being self-disciplined
- Associate degree in a STEM related field or equivalent experience in a manufacturing/industrial environment
- 1-3 years' experience in a manufacturing environment, preferred
