Position Summary:
The Technologist Assistant supports imaging technologists in delivering high-quality diagnostic imaging services. This role ensures smooth workflow by preparing patients, maintaining equipment, and assisting with administrative and clinical tasks to optimize patient care and operational efficiency.
Key Responsibilities:
- Patient Preparation:
- Greet and assist patients in a professional and compassionate manner.
- Verify patient identity and ensure accurate documentation.
- Prepare patients for imaging procedures, including positioning and explaining the process.
- Technologist Support:
- Assist technologists during imaging procedures as needed.
- Handle and transport imaging equipment and accessories safely.
- Monitor and maintain cleanliness and readiness of imaging rooms.
- Administrative Duties:
- Schedule appointments and manage patient flow.
- Enter and update patient information in the imaging system.
- Ensure compliance with HIPAA and company privacy standards.
- Equipment & Safety:
- Perform basic equipment checks and report malfunctions promptly.
- Maintain stock of supplies and prepare rooms for procedures.
- Adhere to radiation safety and infection control protocols.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent (Associate degree in healthcare preferred).
- Previous experience in a healthcare or imaging environment is a plus.
- Strong communication and organizational skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced setting.
- Basic computer proficiency and familiarity with medical software.
