Technologist Assistant (50438)

Position Summary:

The Technologist Assistant supports imaging technologists in delivering high-quality diagnostic imaging services. This role ensures smooth workflow by preparing patients, maintaining equipment, and assisting with administrative and clinical tasks to optimize patient care and operational efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:

• Patient Preparation:
  • Greet and assist patients in a professional and compassionate manner.
  • Verify patient identity and ensure accurate documentation.
  • Prepare patients for imaging procedures, including positioning and explaining the process.
• Technologist Support:
  • Assist technologists during imaging procedures as needed.
  • Handle and transport imaging equipment and accessories safely.
  • Monitor and maintain cleanliness and readiness of imaging rooms.
• Administrative Duties:
  • Schedule appointments and manage patient flow.
  • Enter and update patient information in the imaging system.
  • Ensure compliance with HIPAA and company privacy standards.
• Equipment & Safety:
  • Perform basic equipment checks and report malfunctions promptly.
  • Maintain stock of supplies and prepare rooms for procedures.
  • Adhere to radiation safety and infection control protocols.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent (Associate degree in healthcare preferred).
• Previous experience in a healthcare or imaging environment is a plus.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced setting.
• Basic computer proficiency and familiarity with medical software.
