Role Overview
We are seeking an experienced and highly motivated Techno-Functional Data & Analytics Leader to drive enterprise-wide data, analytics, and AI/ML initiatives within the Life Sciences industry. The ideal candidate will possess deep expertise in pharmaceutical data ecosystems, business intelligence, advanced analytics, and cloud-based data platforms, with strong exposure to Commercial and/or R&D business functions.
This role will act as a strategic bridge between business stakeholders and technology teams, enabling data-driven decision-making, digital transformation, and innovation across the organization.
Key Responsibilities
Data & Analytics Leadership
Lead the design and implementation of enterprise data and analytics strategies aligned with Life Sciences business objectives.
Drive data modernization initiatives, including cloud-based data platforms, data lakes, and advanced analytics solutions.
Partner with business leaders to identify opportunities for leveraging data, AI, and machine learning to improve business outcomes.
Define and govern data standards, quality frameworks, and data management best practices.
Life Sciences Domain Expertise
Provide techno-functional leadership across Commercial and/or R&D functions within the pharmaceutical domain.
Work extensively with pharmaceutical industry datasets, including:
Syndicated market data (IQVIA, Symphony Health, etc.)
Sales and prescription data
Patient and claims data
CRM and customer engagement data
Clinical trial and R&D data
Master and reference data
Translate complex business requirements into scalable analytics and reporting solutions.
Business Intelligence & Advanced Analytics
Lead the development of business intelligence, dashboarding, and self-service analytics solutions.
Enable insights generation through descriptive, diagnostic, predictive, and prescriptive analytics.
Drive KPI definition, reporting standardization, and executive-level performance monitoring.
Collaborate with data scientists and business teams to operationalize advanced analytics use cases.
Cloud & AI/ML Enablement
Architect and implement cloud-based analytics solutions using platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.
Drive adoption of AI/ML technologies for forecasting, customer segmentation, next-best-action recommendations, commercial effectiveness, and clinical analytics.
Oversee the deployment and governance of machine learning models in production environments.
Evaluate emerging technologies and recommend innovative solutions for business growth.
Skills Required
- 12+ years of experience in data and analytics leadership
- Deep expertise in pharmaceutical data ecosystems and Life Sciences domain (Commercial and/or R&D)
- Experience with syndicated market data (IQVIA, Symphony Health)
- Experience working with sales, prescription, patient, claims, CRM, and clinical trial/R&D data
- Proven experience architecting and implementing cloud-based analytics platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP)
- Experience designing data lakes, enterprise data platforms, and data modernization initiatives
- Experience leading BI, dashboarding, and self-service analytics initiatives
- Experience driving AI/ML adoption and deploying machine learning models to production
- Ability to define and govern data standards, data quality frameworks, and data management best practices
- Proven ability to translate complex business requirements into scalable analytics and reporting solutions
