About the Position:
The position will be based in our R&D center, where a new pilot line has been installed. This line produces new paper qualities using partially new process technologies.
The goal of the development is to design and validate a new manufacturing process that significantly reduces the carbon footprint of production.
Responsibilities:
As an R&D Laboratory Technician, you will be responsible for laboratory activities related to the development of the new process and will support pilot development, particularly for chemical aspects.
In this role, you will be in charge of:

Developing test plans in collaboration with material, product, and process development teams.

Evaluating and recommending raw material performance as a laboratory expert.

Translating raw material and product evaluations into measurable parameters and selecting appropriate methods.

Developing or improving methods, including in high-viscosity fluid rheology.

Leading the scale-up of laboratory activities to semi-pilot and pilot R&D.

Managing and updating laboratory protocols.

Using Labware for recording, tracking, and summarizing results.

Representing the laboratory as an internal and external expert and potentially supervising colleagues.

Ordering raw materials and initiating their safety registration.

Managing the storage of pulp and chemicals.

Collaborating closely with R&D, technology, and product development teams.

Ensuring the scale-up of laboratory activities for company-wide deployment.
(Possibility of travel within France and abroad.)
You are the right fit for this Position if:
- You hold a Bac +2 degree in Paper Science, Chemistry, or Materials Science.
- You have 1 to 3 years of experience in laboratory testing.
- You have a good level of English (B2).
- You have strong analytical and synthesis skills as well as good communication abilities.
- You are able to organize and plan your work independently.
- You are flexible, adaptable to change, and able to work in a team.
- Knowledge of Labware would be a plus.
