About the Role 
At Digital Hands, we’re dedicated to fortifying cybersecurity for organizations everywhere. We’re looking for a detail-driven and highly organized Technical Writer to support our Managed Security Services team. In this role, you’ll develop, maintain, and manage high-quality technical documentation that supports our Security Operations Center (SOC) team and customers. This is a full-time position supporting our cybersecurity operations and client service delivery teams.

You’re a Clear Communicator: You have a proven ability to translate complex cybersecurity and technical concepts into clear, concise, and user-friendly documentation for both technical and non-technical audiences. 

 You Have a Cybersecurity or Technology Background: You understand core IT and security concepts, enabling you to write accurately about SOC processes, incident response procedures, tools, and best practices. 

 You’re Highly Organized: You excel at document management, version control, and maintaining structured knowledge repositories to ensure information remains accurate and accessible. 

 You Thrive in High-Volume Environments: You’re comfortable managing a large workload with competing priorities, meeting deadlines without sacrificing quality. 

 You’re Detail-Oriented: You take pride in ensuring documents are accurate, consistent, and aligned with internal standards and compliance requirements.  

 You’re Process-Driven: You enjoy building and refining documentation workflows, ensuring knowledge bases and internal documentation systems stay current and effective. 

 You Collaborate Effectively: You work well with teams and leadership to gather information and produce meaningful documentation. 

 

What You’ll Do 

 

Develop Technical Documentation: Create and maintain standard operating procedures (SOPs), runbooks, playbooks, knowledge base articles, client-facing reports, and internal process documentation related to cybersecurity operations. 

 Manage ServiceNow Knowledge Base (KB): Build, update, and organize knowledge articles within ServiceNow, ensuring content accuracy, proper categorization, and adherence to governance standards. 

 Maintain Document Control: Implement and manage document lifecycle processes, including version control, reviews, approvals, and archival to ensure all materials remain up to date and audit-ready. 

 Drive Continuous Improvement: Identify gaps in documentation, standardize formatting and templates, and enhance overall knowledge management practices. 

 Support Large-Scale Workflows: Manage multiple documentation projects simultaneously while maintaining accuracy, consistency, and timely delivery. 

 

What You Bring 

 

Education & Experience: Bachelor’s degree in Technical Writing, English, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or a related field, or 3–5 years of experience in a technical writing role within cybersecurity, IT, or a Managed Security Services environment. 

 Technical Expertise: Strong understanding of cybersecurity concepts, SOC operations, incident response processes, and IT infrastructure. Experience writing about tools such as SIEM platforms, EDR solutions, firewalls, and cloud technologies is preferred. 

 ServiceNow Experience: Hands-on experience creating and maintaining Knowledge Base (KB) articles in ServiceNow, including workflow approvals and document governance. 

 Document Management Skills: Experience with version control, document lifecycle management, and maintaining centralized repositories (e.g., SharePoint or similar platforms). 

 Writing & Editing Excellence: Exceptional grammar, formatting, and editing skills, with the ability to adapt tone and complexity for different audiences. 

 Workload Management: Demonstrated ability to handle a high-volume workload, prioritize effectively, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment. 

 

Certifications (Preferred): Technical writing certifications, ITIL Foundation, CompTIA Security+, or similar cybersecurity-related credentials are a plus.
