What You’ll Do:

Lead Documentation Strategy:
Take the reins on our documentation strategy, going beyond just writing manuals. You’ll craft content that enhances user experience and drives the success of HackerRank products. Your impact will be felt across the company as you shape how users perceive and engage with our solutions.

Collaborate with Senior Leadership:
You’ll work hand-in-hand with our leadership team, including the CEO and CTO, ensuring that every piece of documentation aligns with our company’s vision. You won’t just follow direction — you’ll offer insights, challenge ideas, and help steer strategic decisions that elevate both our content and our products.

Innovate & Experiment:
We want someone who brings fresh ideas to the table. You’ll have the freedom to explore new formats, push the boundaries of traditional documentation, and implement cutting-edge content practices. Whether it’s interactive guides, visual storytelling, or engaging video tutorials — your creativity will shine.

Craft Engaging Stories:
Technical writing doesn’t have to be dry. We want you to bring personality, humor, and a unique voice to our content. Your role isn’t just about creating docs — it’s about crafting stories that resonate with our users and make complex concepts approachable and enjoyable to read.

Shape the Customer Experience:
Your work will be one of the most important touchpoints for our users. Through clear, engaging, and well-structured documentation, you’ll ensure that customers feel informed, empowered, and ready to succeed with our products.

What We’re Looking For:

• 2+ years of experience in technical writing or documentation strategy with a portfolio that shows your ability to drive content innovation and influence product development.
• Strong leadership skills — you can lead projects, collaborate across departments, and aren’t afraid to challenge the status quo when needed.
• A creative mindset — you’re always thinking of new ways to present information and engage users.
• A passion for storytelling with a sense of humour that can turn even the most technical content into something enjoyable to read.
